We are trying to purchase the Power Park Annual pass but they are not listing the regular price of $139 just the special of $115 which is only available to Florida residents. Are non-Florida residents not allowed to purchase this ticket?

Funny thing is that we go through the whole process of ordering the tix w/o our cc info and they are so far accepting it. Do they verify you are a Florida resident at the park? If we decide to purchase these?

Thanks for your help everyone!

I would call and talk with a ticket rep if I were you to be sure. I was actually under the impression anyone could buy those but it does say on the site FL residents only. So just to be safe I would call and talk with someone in ticket sales to find out. Good luck

Thanks again, I actually called while I was writing this note on the threads and she told me that it doesn't matter and that ANYONE can purchase it. They won't check at the gates to see if your a resident. I asked her if she was sure:rotfl: and she said YES!

Well, I was happy! Thanks again:banana:

That is great news. I actually had never heard those were FL resident only when I was looking for which I want to buy never saw those were the requirements and they sell them at Publix down here too and don't think they check ID for those either. So grats again and have a good time when you go. :goodvibes

the only thing i would be concerned with is if the info is correct.

the people that man the phones, work out of different call centers.

you call the main number and might get an employee that can only answer questions based on what they were trained to say.

i have had one experience when i called for tickets.
my call was sent to the call center in canada since the orlando center had full lines.

i was given wrong info and had a headache over what i bought then. i bought tickets on a promo that was for residents only. i was a newbie then, and didn't realize the restrictions it had on a sale price.

i'm sure you you feel the info was correct.

to be on the safe side, call again to see if you get the same info.

i do know that anyone can buy the power passes.
you don't have to be a floridian resident for that.
so the answer the person gave you is correct, power passes can be bought by anyone.
you only need to be a resident if it is a special promo for a specific discount.

if it is not designated, then you are good to go.

i highly doubt you will be questioned about fl. residency. you will have the voucher and it will process without anymore paper work for the actual pass.

Universal doesn't usually have FL resident deal for the AP's...anyone can take advantage of the AP prices. The only FL resident deals are usually on the day or multi-day tickets.

For $ 24 I wouldn't chance it. Not worth the hassle if you do have to show ID somewhere along the line.

I bought some tickets for some out of state friends for a special deal they just had for FL residents, like buy one day and get the second day second park free, or something like that. I called to make sure that it was ok that I would be buying them but an out of stater could use them. She said that as long as the purchaser had a Florida ID, than it was ok. However, when we picked the tickets up at the electronic ticket booth thingy, no one was there to ask for my ID, and no one in the entrance line asked to see my ID either. I'm not sure if that was typical or not, but that day, anyone could have gotten that special deal.

I am bummed to see that that doesn't include free parking!
The Power Pass is basically park admission only...no other discounts AND has blackout dates. If you can...pay the difference and get the Preferred.

You will be fine. If it allows you to order them online, then it will be OK.
