Just found out we may be leaving 2 days earlier. Will need to book 2 nights (Dec 17 & Dec 18th). We check into YC on the 19th-25th. Can't afford 2 more nights at YC. There are 4 of us but we need an extra bed (DS and DD need seperate beds). Can anyone help me with some good advise? This is our first WDW trip so I really don't know what to do.

OKW has 2 queen beds in the studio.

POR has 2 double beds plus a trundle bed in the AB section only.

either of these has 3 really beds.

OKW has a 2-bedroom - it would cost more than YC. king bed in the master, queen sleeper sofa in the livingroom, and 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom.

have you looked at FW cabins? - they have a double bed and bunk beds in the bedroom and in the living room there is a Murphy bed. this might be your best choice.

if you must pick between OKW and POR - then I would go with OKW - they do have a mircowave and a under-the-counter refrigerator. but then POR has one of the best food courts at WDW.

port orleans has trundle beds. but you did not say how old the children are. OKW is more $$ than POR. that might be the best way to go needing the extra bed.

My DD & DS are older, however DS is only 5'4" so I believe a daybed works fine. I think a Value Resort wont work because I need seperated beds for DD & DS, but I could be wrong. I thought of going to the Disney Downtown hotels. Thank you for your quick responses. Still not sure what to do :(

i would definitely stay onproperty. wilderness cabins at fort wilderness is a great idea. your son should be fine on the daybed or trundle.

Disney Queen & Spiceycat Thank You sooooo much. I will check out the FW cabins. Oh its my DD that's 5'4". :) Hope you have a wonderful day!

Actually, since you are only talking about two nights, I might suggest off-site. One reason is - I just checked Disney's website and the cost for two nights in the Fort Wilderness cabins for your dates is $510 after tax. Ouch ! Several people have posted positive results offsite at the Wyndham Palms Golf Resort. HotelKingdom.com is showing availability at this resort for those nights at $101 for a 1 bedroom, and $138 for a 2 bedroom. Hope this helps.

ScottOKW2K, when I checked Disney's web site I was shocked at the $510. for FW cabins for two nights. :( I am now looking at Downtown Disney hotels. Hope someone can tell me which would be the best - price, clean, walking to DD. My DH is now thinking we should forget leaving 2 days earlier and just enjoy what we have arranged for our first trip.

Out of OKW and POR - OKW is by far the nicest. The rooms are bigger and better quality - comparing OKW studio to POR room.

Try doubletree guest suites at DD $99 per night :chat:
