I am so indecisive. I stayed at POR with family many times growing up love the atmosphere, and perk of boat to DTD but am intrigued by CSR for my boyfriend and I. We stayed at Swan last year and loved the adult/quiet setting (I had teacher discount, waiting for them to show this year) but in the meantime have reserved POR. However CSR sounds like it might be more up our alley with the largest hot tub of moderates, really nice looking pool and what sounds like a more adult atmosphere. I also like the idea of a counter sink in the bathroom area. Can anyone convince me of which we should choose? Also any chance of seeing Epcot fireworks from CSR? And finally, are Rancho rooms the best? Thanks! :)

THE PROS
No sharing bus service with other resorts
Centrally located with short rides to the parks
Largest hot tub on WDW property
Awesome main pool area with bar, snack bar, playground and kiddie pool
3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages
High speed internet service
WiFi available too
Free use of the gym
Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

Check out my website below

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge. Most convenient, most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building. Casta 4 has a quiet pool.

After having stayed at WL and POR Riverside, next summer we are splitting between Poly and CSR. I was not that crazy about POR, and love the Spanish/Mexican theme of CSR. Also, the noise from the air conditioners at POR drove me crazy! CSR has central air. CSR just looks newer and a little nicer to me. POR is spread out, as is CSR. The key it seems is to get a convenient building, like Cabana 9B. Good luck with your decision.

We've stayed at CSR twice with another stay planned for August and we LOVE CSR. On our trip this past May we tried POR and while it was nice and we enjoyed our stay, I kept missing CRS and wishing we were over there!!! My DH likes to try new resorts each trip and that's why we were at POR, but we are glad to be heading back to CRS. All of the reasons in previos posts list the features so well. We just love the whole theme, beautiful landscaping and that pool and slide!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
