Help! Pop or AKL

My friend and I are currently booked at pop (10/28-11/2) with our daughters ages 12 and 15. Animal Kingdom Lodge has become available for our dates.... is it worth the almost double the cost to upgrade? We are all staying in the same room and will be spending pretty much all of our time at the parks. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Don't pay double the price if you're planning to spend all your time at the parks.
Stick with Pop.

We did AoA and akl split stay in January this year. I originally book akl as a post cruise resort only hotel stay/no parks that I was hoping for before Covid ruined everything. We really loved our stay at akl it's really beautiful and most everything you need is in one building, though very large where as AOA, and pop, would be similar, there's more walking outside to get places such as food court. Honestly though, if I were to do akl again, I'd be sure to keep at least 1 full Day if not more as a resort day, just to enjoy the resort complex more thoroughly.

If you're sun up to sun down at parks, you'll get just as much use out of your room whether you're in Basic or Deluxe, so might as well save the money and use it on a special dinner or souvenir.
