Help! Poly concierge: garden or lagoon view?

We have reservations for Poly concierge garden view in September. I am trying to decide whether we should upgrade to lagoon view. I would hate to pay all that extra money for lagoon view and end up on the 2nd floor without a balcony. Also, we have 2 little ones (5 & 3) so we really need a balcony or patio to hang out while they nap.

Is lagoon view worth the extra money even if we end up on the 2nd floor?

Since you could end up on the 2nd floor with no balcony or patio whether you stay in a garden view or lagoon view concierge room, if the budget allows I say go for lagoon view. Plus, be sure to note a request on your reservation for a 1st or 3rd floor room. Also, you can contact the Island Planning Office (concierge pre-planners) and request the same thing as well. Enjoy Poly concierge!

I also am in favor of the LV, only if the extra $$$ is not a problem for you. The lounge in the Hawaii bldg for the concierge guests is great so if the price of a LV room is too much, with a GV you can still take the kids up to the lounge for snacks etc while you watch the ELP and Wishes. That being said, if $$ if not a real concern, the LV is awesome! While your kids nap, you can sit on the patio/balcony and relax. They can watch the castle change colors at night and the sun rise over the lagoon in the a.m. If you request 1st or 3rd floor on your reservations there is a good chance you would get one or the other (think of all the mere mortals who book their trips thru their friendly TA and have NO clue what to request....they get the 2nd floor 9 times out of 10!). No matter what you choose, the Poly is a terrific resort and I know you will have a great time

Oh my...if you can swing a LV, go for it! We splurged one trip and did not regret it. AND, we were on the 2nd floor which was very convienent to the lounge.
