I'm not familiar w universal at all and find it somewhat difficult to find info on their website.
Just a question or two for now....
I am trying to get a quote for our trip. 2adults 1 9yer old. My husband does not ride rides at all! Can I buy the express skip line add on for just my son and I?(if we stay off site)
Trying to see if on site is really worth it. Or just staying at a partner hotel. If not onsite what hotel you recommend?

Looking at going for mardi gras march 3-8 and crowd calendar said low.

Do you buy the meal plan? Some hotels offer free bkft so maybe just the quick service plan????

Try to be as cost efficient as possible being that we just came back from wdw

If you aren't staying onsite, try to book a package through the website. At least then you will get early admission to the Wizarding World.

Personally, I think onsite is always better because you are immersed and you get the unlimited express pass. You can purchase the express pass for individuals no problem. I'd wait until you actually get into the parks and determine if you think you need it. It is available at many stores inside the parks.

You'd have to examine the meal plan to determine if it is a good deal for your family. It is very new and not a lot of regulars here have tried it.

Just wanted to let you know the menus prices may not be correct any longer. There's been a price increase. For example...the photo of Louie's menu shows $4.39 for a slice of veggie pizza but the price is $6.29 now...I found that out yesterday.

The next time I'm over there I'll try to get some pics of the new prices for you. It was quite a shock!

If we stay off site I can still add skip the line option to our ticket correct? And it can be added the day of if we feel it's crowded correct?

is there a difference in the skip the line pass that you would get when you stay onsite vs. the one you can add the day of if necessary?

That would be great if anyone could get updated photos. There are no online menus for the quick service restaurants so I'm dependant upon peeps at the parks for price updates. Many photos are now 2-1/2years old, so I'm not surprised that prices have changed.

You can purchase the day of if you need it. Staying onsite gives you Unlimited express pass for the rides that offer it for everyday of your trip including check out day. Purchasing the one day express pass is only good one time through each ride that offers it for the day of purchase.

Most accurate crowd calendar? Looking at possibly going within the days of March 3-7. Guess that determines if we stay on site or not...

the dining plan for counter service can be worth it if you do the math on the entrees.

i did it for 2 days and came out ahead by ordering based on total entree cost.

if the entree is $15, buy the dining card as it is worth it.


you can redeem the beverage and snack within 14 days from the time you purchase the dining card.

every place i ordered counter service, offered the card to me to purchase.
