i just want to make sure i am understanding everything correctly so please bear with me ;) we have never flew to disney...this year we ARE flying (i'll will mention that i'm scared out my skin;) ) we will be flying us airways. i know they do not participate in the check in thing, thats ok because we will get there around 8 am no big deal for us. my question(s) is i still have to make a reservation with disneys magical express correct? and if i have an early flight back home ...what time does the check out desks open (we'll be in all star sports) hope that all made sense :rolleyes1 thanks in advance :flower3:

Not exactly sure what your concern is, but whether or not US Airways is a participating airline has no effect on your ability to use all of the DME services—including the baggage handling part—on your way IN to Orlando. The only thing you won't be able to take advantage of is the check-in and baggage check service at the resort on your way OUT of Orlando.

Regardless, you do need to make a reservation for DME pick up. They will send you vouchers and tags for your luggage. If you put the tags on your luggage, you can bypass the baggage pick up and head straight to the DME desk. You'll be directed to board a bus that will take you to your resort. DME will pick up your checked bags and they will be delivered to your room. All you will have to worry about is your carry-on bags, which you can store with bell services at your resort.

On your way out of Orlando, you will need to take your bags on the DME bus and check them in when you get to the airport.

I'm not sure which checkout desks you are asking about. The resort front desk area is always open. The DME desk area opens about 5 am. But, if you aren't going to be checking your bags with them you don't need to worry about that.
DME is very easy to use. It may sound confusing, but it really isn't.
One more thing though....while I am not the best flier, I have come to terms with it. The way I figure it is that the pilot and the attendents fly all day, all over the place. If it weren't safe, they wouldn't be doing it..plain and simple. So, I just try to sit back and relax....bring a magazine or two, a book...whatever. That plane really, really wants to be in the air. As it has been explained to me...the plane is built to be in the air. It is very hard to bring down a functioning aircraft. Now, sure....there could be a terrorist onboard, but that's something I choose not to worry about. I would end up staying in bed, with the covers over my head otherwise.
So....get on that plane, get to WDW and have a great trip!!!! You are going to be just fine!!!

yes, i was referring to the resort front desk area, but i do remember they were always available ;) ya know..im actually not worried about a terrorist, lol. i'd be the first to jump on them as quick as lightening  but i am afraid of heights and i'm just petrified to be that far up :scared: just thinking about it makes me wanna puke  i just have to stop thinking about it and just do it (like tower of terror, lol) i'll probably have a few very stiff drinks before hand as well :rolleyes1
