I would keep the suite, but look into renting a full size crib for the trip. My sister did from A Baby's Best Friend once. They deliver it, set it up with sheets and all, and take it away after your stay. My kids had a tough time sleeping in a pack & play - they are like sleeping on the floor almost (not soft at all like a crib).
