Help please with my DL/South CA intinerary

We are trying to put together a plan to visit DL and Southern CA for the last week of June next year using DVC points - 2 adults and 2 DD's (15 and 18). This will be our first trip to CA.

Thinking of:
2 nights in San Diego (the zoo is definitely in our plans for 1 day).
6 nights at DL, spending 3 days in the parks, but taking a break in between each day and going to Catalina Island 1 day, Laguna Beach 1 day and Hollywood 1 day.

Do you think we are trying to fit too much?
Will it be easy to do Catalina, Laguna and Hollywood as day trips from DL?
Do you think we just do 3 or 4 nights at DL and move hotels to another area?

I'm sure that for Catalina Island you definitely need an entire day. As for Hollywood, quite frankly, 2 hours should be enough. We did not care for it at all. Beverly Hills is really close by and Rodeo Dr. warrants a visit, just to say that you were there. I don't know about Laguna, as we only drove through. I don't remember drive times, but I do know that we got traffic regardless of the time of day.
