Hi Guys,

I am needing some help here. Trying to plan my August vacation. It's me, Dh and DD8. I've been hoping for free dining, which I love, but getting nervous as August comes closer and really want to book my room. I'm probably brining along another family, so whatever I figure out, they'll be doing too. My travel agent hasn't been responding to emails, so I come to you as you are the EXPERTS! :goodvibes

I've been to All star Movies and PoP. Loved Movies, but wasn't crazy about Pop. DD has autism and at times needs peace and quiet, the pools at Pop which we were overlooking :headache: stayed active till 3am. (I had requested a quiet location...

I've been debating between CBR and Movies. Value rates but I don't know how to do the codes. We don't parkhop, so basic tickets and no water parks.. easy enough? First year we paid for parkhoppers and never used them.. for me they are a waste. Money is always a problem for us, but we find a way!

oo00o0o0 the dates.. I believe it will be August 21 - Aug. 28. We'll be driving down, unless Southwest comes out with better rates than I've been seeing. We have AAA. ANything else needed?

Thanks a bunch!

Value rates start August 5th this year. Run the numbers online and it should give you an idea.

robin09 - check out jetblue's rates - i quoted rates of $69 each way out of newark, nj for the same time that you'll be traveling. not sure where you are in NY but thought I'd pass along that info to you

Best Food Court - Voted by DIS'ers
Pepper Market. Huge portions, great choices and tasty food. Lunch/Dinner Menu

Best Pool - Voted by Dis'ers Best mod pool. It offers a great slide (123 ft long), an arcade, a sand volleyball court, and a playground at the main pool area.

Thanks Mom,

I'm upstate Newark in the western part of the Catskills. I usually try to fly out of Albany which is "only" a 2 hour drive. Parking is also much cheaper at the Albany airport and less confusing than Newark.

I'm from Brooklyn, NY and then Staten Island. I've gradually moved more and more North! I like Jetblue better than Southwest because of the tv.s Southwest has none of that.

Thanks again, it has me thinking!:goodvibes

I've viewed your site a few times and it has me wondering.. hmmmm... Your pictures are gorgeous! What are the differences between Cbr and Csr? :confused3 I've never done a moderate and up until 2005 never even stayed onsite...I must say I love being onsite with a value resort.. I can only imagine what a moderate will be like....:goodvibes :cool1:

I would hold off just a few more weeks to see if Free Dining or another great discount comes out for August. I know, I'm getting anxious as well, but if Disney sees that their rooms are booking without any kind of deals they'll be less likely to come out with discounts. Anyways, CBR is a great choice. Especially if you choose Jamaica...more secluded, but yet quick walk to Old Port Royale and the main pool. The quiet pools are really nice since most everyone goes to the main pool.

I know I know I should hold off:lmao: .... but I'm so darn impatient.... afraid of not getting a room..... Originally I had promised DH no disney this year if no free dining... but I can't keep to my word...:scared1: I need my fix.:cool1: I had agreed to go to Dollywood instead this august. So now he agreed with original plan.. no free dining no disney.

BUT I told him about cbr and how he can "relax".. he's on the verge of agreeing, so I need to book, before he changes his mind....:rolleyes1

I'll try to hold off a little longer! just need to figure out if I want music or cb:yay: r...

Any Mod I think feels more relaxing than any Value.
If you plan to use the resort, go with a Mod. If you plan to being in a park almost all the time, then go with a Value.
The pools are nicer at the Mods. CSR is often called the deluxe of the Mods. It has the largest spa (hot tub) of the Mods.
Any of the Mods look very nice, and I am sure you would enjoy whichever you select.
Hope it works out for you. :flower3:
