We need a TS restaurant that can take a reservation for 40 people, seating us at as few tables as possible. This is for a 50th birthday. It needs to be outside the parks because not everyone will have park admission. We are staying at CSR and the Maya Grill would only take such a large reservation at 4:30pm or 9:30pm. We're thinking around 8:00pm, if possible.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Try 'Ohana. We were there in July and there were at least two very large parties in the center of the room. The tables are set up so that large parties can sit together at long tables. The atmosphere there is also appropriate for large groups, and the food is really good.

Have you considered some kind of event. I know that for large groups they will do a special dinner and dessert. It's called Odyssey at Epcot. They have food from the countries and it is for large groups.

Try calling group dining. I had to arrange a dinner for 16 not that long ago. WDW-DINE really couldn't help me, but group dining had availability that dining didn't seem to have. Call WDW-DINE and ask for group dining. Good luck--sounds like fun!

We did this last year for my sister's wedding reception dinner. We booked at WCC at the WL. It was so much fun, and they were great as far as service. I called at our 180 day mark (group dining number) and was told that I needed to call the restaurant directly and talk to the manager. The mgr. told me the reason for this was so that she could make sure she had enough servers for us, and limit the number of other reservations taken during that time period. Hope that helps!

I like the suggestions of Ohana and WCC. Both have good food and wonderful atmosphere. WCC has tables that probably can set 10 people and they have 2 sections where they are lined up. They also have a place just near the fireplace that is a bit removed from the main dining area but still close enough for the antics. This might be a fun choice for a big group.

i have to put a plug in for Trails End in FW. They have several sections and they are a buffet which would make ordering easier. I would also call group dinning.

I would also try Hoop Dee Doo Revue maybe even the 9:30 show, it always seems to be less crowded.

I also would vote for the HDDR. Can't think of a funner place for your large grop to celebrate a birthday! :thumbsup2

If there are children in the group, this will also provide entertainment and the food comes out quickly so no whining.

Thanks everyone! We'll start with Group Dining and ask about the suggestions made here.
