Help Please! Swan/Dolphin Dec. 1

Does anybody know what is going on at the Swan/Dolphin Nov.28 - Dec. 11? There are NO discounts for those dates? No Teacher, AAA, All Ears, etc. I called the hotel and the reservations person did not know why - the computer just told him that NO discounts were available?

Right now I could go over Thanksgiving for less then the Monday after? Discounts open back up on the 12th? Is there a HUGE convention that is going to last every day for 2 weeks? Last year this was when many of the Dis. regulars met at the resort. It is usually my favorite time of year to go.

I apologize if this question has already been asked. I'm really getting depressed at the Idea of finding another hotel for the "annual pilgrimage".

What are other Dis Members doing? I know there are a whole bunch who are going to be there for the big meet...

Are you just waiting or are you paying the higher price? Is there a discount I'm missing?

I also found NO discounts !

So far, I have booked POR for
12/ 3, 4, & 5, but if the Swan Dolphin discounts opened up, I might switch.

They do have rooms available - Just NO discounts - not even AAA!

The best rate I've found is through Dreams - $219/nt. - $70 higher then any other time... When I called the resort directly the rate was even higher!

Well...At this point, I think you should do what I did. Book yourself at your favorite Disney moderate,
and then just watch to see if the
Swan/Dolphin discounts come up.
At least you will have a room on Disney property for the dates you want.

I've been to DIS meets the past couple of early Decembers, but I have not heard of any big DIS meets for this December yet. Did I miss something?

Mousefest 2004 will be going on at that time, with the Mega Mouse Meet scheduled for Dec.11.

Last year we managed to stay over New Year's week with a teacher rate, but I think they must be scaling back their available discounts. We are going this summer and a teacher rate was only available for 3 days out of our week stay.
