Help please: Need a low cost hotel

We may possibly book a trip to WDW this summer if we can find a cheap enough place to stay. Can someone please recommend a low cost hotel in the WDW area? Thanks!

What type of price are you looking for? Cheap means different things to different people. Are you looking at $30 a night or $70 or maybe inbetween. Do you know about Priceline?

Check www.biddingfortravel.com for Priceline advice. Folks have been getting 2.5* hotels (examples: Sheraton Safari, Clarion Maingate) for under $35. Although NOTHING IS GUARENTEED, right now a couple folks have come up with the Best Western Lake Buena Vista, in DTD, for under $30 per night, which is a lot of hotel for your money. You simply have to be willing to take "pot luck" with Priceline, but the choices lately have been good. I'm personally going to stay in the Courtyard Marriott Village, a half mile from the DTD gate (and a super hotel, fairly new), for under $35.

If you're willing to give up the knowledge of knowing where it is before you buy it, Priceline is the way to go.

Now, if you need to be in the park (are you taking a car?), then as daannzzz said, we need you to define "cheap."

Rodeway Inn Maingate east. Internet special at $26.95. It used to be Ho Jo's maingate east but I guess they sold half to Rodeway. Resturant on both sides of you IHOP, seafood resturant, shoney's and Waffle House. If you're driving, gas station next door called Racetrac. Walgreen's 2 blocks up and a Publix supermarket across from there to buy snack. I'll be there mid august for 12 days, all 10 of us. $790 for 2 rooms w/tax and fees
Free shuttle buses to and from disney parks

You may also want to try Hotwire www.hotwire.com I have had some really good luck in getting hotels a good prices through their website.
