Hello all! I have am due to travel in two weeks and staying at Hotel Cheyenne with our two Toy Story fan boys (who do not know we are going to DLP!!)

Anyhow could you please advise re Half Board Meal vouchers as i cannot decide whether to opt for this option?

Do you have to go for the Half board meal option or can you use the voucher at face value? I have looked at the menu of Annettes Diner and it seems limited (especially for me as i dont like beef burgers!) The rest of the menu looks lovely tho!

Also we have booked 3 nights does that mean we get 3 vouchers? (probably a silly question really??) I hope so as one of the resturants i want to go to (Rainforest cafe) isnt on the Half board plus option.

Thanks for your help!!pixiedust:

If you're staying 3 nights, yes, you do get 3 hb vouchers of your choice per member of your party.

If you're choosing the half board plus option, then yes, you can use those at face value in Annettes, and choose from the main menu, not the set menu. This is because Annettes is on the half board standard meal plan, so if you had standard vouchers, you'd be offered the set menu :) .

Hiya and welcome! :wave2:

Don't know if this is any help to you, but we have decided to opt for the HB standard vouchers for our trip in a couple of weeks. We plan to eat at Annettes, Plaza gardens, restaurant at the Cheyenne (or maybe Cafe Agrabah). We decided to go for the vouchers as when you look at the prices of the meals in these restaurants, they are really good value, especially with the exchange rate the way it is at the moment. It's a change for us too as we don't normally eat in the restaurants. We will be paying £38 for the four of us per day with the vouchers.

However you can eat for less as we have done on past trips-we have always had counter styles meals for around 25-30 euros for the 4 of us, as we have been so busy rushing the about parks, food was not our priority. So whether you go for the vouchers is down to how important the dining part of your holiday is. I know lots of people on here recommend the vouchers, and good reviews of all the restaurants can be found on the sticky at the top of the board, which may influence your decision! :rotfl:

Whatever you decide to do, have a great time - bet your boys will be thrilled by their surprise trip! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I know it's so hard to keep it a secret when you are really excited!!

We surprised my DDs with our January trip-we did the balloon in a box thing to reveal the surprise but how I kept it secret that long I just don't know!! They were so excited when they found out though it was worth it :thumbsup2

Hope you will do a trip report and let us know their reaction when they find out! :goodvibes

Hi- I don't think you can use halfboard vouchers at the Rainforest Cafe as it isn't owned by Disney... I'm sure I've seen vouchers being refused there before...

Thanks Bob.

We will work around that and plan to noy use the vouchers there if we go.

Hi Angelfan!

Your baloon in a box idea sounds lovely!!

We are going on an overnight ferry and are planning to tell them we are going on an adventure!! Hopefully we will get away with it as they spend most of their time planning fictional adventures!! When they wake on the ferry i have bought Mickey Mouses from disney store and they kindly gave me brochures and gift cards which Mickey will be holding with a letter i have typed with downloaded photos of the resort, our hotel etc...

Trip report sounds a challenge but i will give it a go!!
:cheer2: pixiedust: :cheer2:

Oh wow what a great way of telling them!! Now you will def have to do us a trip report :thumbsup2
