I'd like to do a land and sea vacation. I'm thinking three days at Disney World and a four night cruise. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the options. Went to Disney World 20 years ago. Never been on a cruise. All tips and suggestions appreciated!

A four night cruise would most likely be on the Dream. Find a cruise with the dates you prefer, then choose a hotel you want. Dates when the kids are out of school will be more expensive than during school. You can book everything on your own but if you book the cruise through Costco you'll receive a gift-card as a thank you. Or choose a travel agent who will give you an onboard credit ($$$ to spend on the cruise.) Some people prefer to book their own, but don't get the credit.

You can save money on the cruise by getting a standard cabin for four, but one of the kids will be in a Pullman bed that comes down out of the ceiling. You may be more comfortable in a room for five, which has a Murphy bed. It’s roomier overall, but it’s a bit more expensive.

A room with the word “family” in the title (ie “deluxe family ocean view stateroom”) should have the Murphy bed.
