My family and I will be going to WDW Nov29 to Dec5. Will the evening EMH be really busy? I don't mind waiting in lines but would rather not have to wait hours in line with two tikes (1.5 & 3). Any advice would be great. :goodvibes

I believe that the dates you are going should be low attendance. We tried the evening EMH in June and it was a total waste of time. Except for the Fast Passes we got for Tower of Terror at the Studios everything else was impossible. Even after riding with our FP the next return time was way into the night and the wait times everywhere were insane so we just left.
I imagine that during a slower time the evening EMH is very enjoyable. Let's see what others think.

I would skip EMH for MGM for sure. Epcot might not be too bad. We did evening EMH in May and it was ok. Not as good as getting there when the park opens - I think we waited half an hour for test track at 11pm.

We are planning to walk over from the CR and try MK EMH on 11/30. If it's crazy, we'll just go back to the hotel. :teeth:

evening emh at ak is a complete waste. shows stop well before parks close, safari stops at regular park close. dinoland is open that is about it. epcots main rides, soarin and tt stay pretty corwded. at mgm rnr and tot, stay pretty crowded. i liked mk best for emh. plenty of rides open, and fantasyland was the only real waits.

Well, we went in August, did about 10 EMH nights and had a ball!! Yes it was more crowded early in the evening, but we are night owls and always stayed until park closing. It became less and less crowded as the night went on. The good thing about these now is you don't have to pay for them like the e-nights (which I personally happen to love) so if you feel it's too crowded or can't stay awake another minute, you can leave and not be worried about extra money you spent for the extra hours. We were able to do tons of rides, enjoyed the DJ at MGM and just really enjoyed the whole night time atmosphere. Hope you do too!!

ENJOY!!

Question for the experienced ones:

Let's say MGM "closes" at 8 and it has EMH nights. If I park hop there at 9pm can I get in the gate with a resort pass and a park ticket?

Will they issue a bracelet once you are in the park?

how does fastpass work on EMH nights? Example...at Epcot...Soarin is open until Midnight...but they run out of fastpasses around 3pm that afternoon...do they then reopen the FP machine from 9 -12? SInce many guests are offsite and getting FP's before EMH starts cannot ride rides after 9pm surely the fp TIMES DO NOT GO INTO THE emh...if this is the case do the machines reset at 9pm and then give out new passes after 9pm (or whatever time in a given park)

Also with AK--what in the world can you do there if they close everything but DINOLAND at 5:30? aRE THE ANIMAL TRAILS OR EXHIBITS LIKE THE OASIS OPEN?
sorry about the caps and small letters, must have hit the caps lock button somewhere and i don't want to rewrite everuthing.

I would love to hear from anybody who has been to MK EMH during the past month :goodvibes

Although I haven't experienced it yet, I have read on these boards that they sometimes do reset the FP booths and open them up for EMH nights. I suppose it depends upon the ride and the crowds.

The EMH list for AK shows the trails open, the Tree of Life and both Kali River and Kil Safaris seasonal.

We were there in late October and did both am and pm at MK. Would highly recommend both.

If you are going to PM, make sure you pick up your bracelets before 9 PM (long line after for first hour). I wouldn't say there was no line, but they were typically short. I would guess about 15 minutes for Space Mt, maybe 5 minute wait for other headliners. AMs have always been the best way to do FantasyLand (and TomorrowLand is also open).

Unless you are going at peak times, I say go.

We were there late April and attended EMH at MGM and MK. MGM was like a ghost town and my kids got a kick out of being just about the only ones in the open attractions. The only lines there were RNR and TOT,but not much of a wait (10min). The fast pass machines were reopened at closing times (we took one for RnR-really didn't need it). EMH at MK was packed!!! They were also letting people who didn't have bracelets on the attractions :confused3 (hope they've cracked down on this-wasn't fair). We got frustrated and tired waiting on lines that late and left. We will be trying again in January. Have never been to Ak or Epcot's night hours. :earsgirl:

Thank you! We are hoping to get Pirates, Splash & BTMRR done on Wed. 11/30 I am a little nervous - I'm afraid that w/ all the MVMCP's that night is going to be crazy :crowded: Worst case is We'll see Spectro & Wishes then just bolt.

You can go to the park with the evening EMH after it has started. As long as you are a Disney resort guest you will be admitted and given a wristband.

In June we overheard a Cast Member tell someone that they re-open the Fast Pass machines for the evening EMH. Sure enough, just as EMH was about to start the Tower of Terror machines were re-opened. I don't know if they do this all the time or for what attractions. My guess is that the size of the anticipated crowd determines whether they re-open the FP machines or not.

We went in late Sept/Oct and did EMH at MK two evenings. It was not very crowded at all, just as it was not very crowded during the day when we were there. I would speculate that you would have the same experience. In such a situation there is no need for fast pass. For example, we rode Big Thunder Mt Railroad seven times in a row with no wait more that it took to walk back through the turnstiles.

We did not do any other evening EMH because the parks were so uncrowded that we did everything we wanted to during the day. We tended to go have a nice dinner in the evening.

KK - Do you mean the MVMCP parties all week? Because there isn't one scheduled that night.

We had a similar situation when we went in October as MNSSHP was at MK most nights (of the five nights we were there MK was only open past 6PM on two nights.) On EMH PM, we got to the park about 4:30. The first two hours were crowded - we got in Buzz, Space Mt, TTA and COP. At 6:30 we ate and did the parade and fireworks. While the park was open it was pretty crowded. But once the fireworks were done, much of the crowd vanished. So I would head over there immediately after the fireworks and you should have no problem.

I just can't wait to do a EMH-PM at the AK this December. I've never been to AK at night, and I can't wait to see how it is lit. I just love the parks after dark....

I'm not KK, but I think I know what KK means. Since the Tuesday the 30th is is one of the only days that week without MVMCP (MVMCP is on the 29th, the 1st and 2nd), that this night is likely to be VERY busy for those who choose not to do MVMCP. I'll be avoiding MK that night too.

Hey! While we're talking......How are the parks with late EMH early in the day? I know most regulars would hit the morning EMH's and then hop away because the parks got crowded. Are the parks with late EMH's crowded early in the day?
