Help! Planning a trip to Branson.

we visit Branson often. We have SDC/White Water season passes. We seldom stay in the same place. I think Castle Rock is a nice water park hotel. I haven't stayed there, but have friends that have. We usually just pick a cheap, clean place and save money on the hotel. but we've never stayed that long either. It's usually 3 nights max.
My kids love Dixie Stampede. We usually do that a couple of times a year. There is also the Noah show. This is the last year for the show to be in Branson and right now tickets are discounted to $35. We are planning to go next month.
If you are interested in riding go carts/playing mini golf/riding bumper boats go to bransontracks.com. you can buy their go cards online and it is cheaper than buying at the tracks. They have 4 or 5 locations in Branson.
Dick's Five and Dime store downtown is fun. The Tanger Mall is great for shopping. So is Branson Landing!
We love Branson, can you tell? ha ha

*Completely agree about the "Go-Card" for all the go-carts, minigolf, laser tag and bumper boats! We do this with our kids - last year even brought an extra teen and this was great!
*We also loved the Legend of Kungfu show! It was great!! (I'm in AR also - and this is a close mini-vaca place for us)
*Another thing for us is we love to go to movies while on vaca, and Branson's has good seating and it's clean. popcorn::

If you are looking for a great place to eat, we discovered Chester's and it is our MUST DO every trip now, and honestly I could eat there several times in one trip!
Enjoy your trip!

1branson.com is reporting that Chester's is closed. I was looking forward to eating there on our next trip. :sad1:

I'm going to Branson with my girlfriend in June for her birthday. We got groupons for the zip line place. I'm sooo looking forward to trying it! :woohoo:

It's good to read everyones comments on it since I've only been there once before and didn't have to pay, so it's a lot different this time around. lol.

We usually stay in condos right down the road from Silver Dollar City. They are off of table rock lake, and are great! Since we go with family, the cost per a family is very reasonable. It has a pool, and is right down the road from a marina with lots of water craft rentals too. (http://treehousecondos.com/)
Make sure you pick up the coupon brochures at the beginning of your stay. We've found a lot of our favorite places to eat in Branson because there was a coupon. We like the outback restaurant mentioned before, as well as another restaurant where they throw rolls whose name escapes me right now...
We love SDC, and spend 3-4 days there doing the rides and seeing all the shows. I would recommend at least one person getting a season pass to take advantage of discounts on food and merchandise. The food at SDC is the best park food ever! Outside of SDC we are usually happy just mini golfing, and shopping the outlets. We LOVE LOVE LOVE the show SIX. They are an amazing group of six brothers that sing completely acappella. We see them every time we go, and the show never gets old. My 1 year old nephew enjoyed it as much as my 70 year old grandma, so it's great for all ages.

We have Silver Dollar City season passes also. Plan at least 2 days at Silver Dollar City and make sure to stay for the free show one evening. The Shepard of the Hills is a great show shown in a giant outdoor amphitheater. I believe it cost 99.00 per family. I recently hear about a place just over the border in Arkansas that we're planning to check out on our next trip. It called loco ropes, and is a tree top ropes course place with ziplines and obstacles. I know my kids 9 & 7 are going to love it.

The wife and I spent a week down there last july for our 10th wedding anv. If you all like to fish you are in a great place. http://anglersadvantage.net/ Captian Steve Dickey. Highly recommeded. We caught rainbow trout ALL day long, one after another. He got a new boat this year and is VERY kid friendly.

Also there is a new landing right off lake tanaycomo that has alot of little shops and places to eat. If it is hot AKA 95 to 100, may want to avoid as the radiant heat from the concrete is warm and there lacks shade..... that is about the only down fall. They do have concerts by the water front there and there is a bass pro shops.

The chinese acrabat show is pretty cool. Long 1.75 hours or so, but worth money.

My wife and I are thinking of taking my Mother to Branson 12/4 thru 12/9 to see the Christmas Shows. We are looking at staying in a condo at Wyndham Branson at the Meadows. Anyone now about this resort. Is it fairly close to things? What is the weather like in early December?
