Help plan my daughters WDW birthday!

Carissa is turning 7 on the 2nd day of our WDW vacation. I've already got her reservations for the BBB first thing in the morning (before park opening) and will be buying her a dress from the Disney store (after Halloween sale) as one of her gifts and to wear in the park that day.

I'll be decorating our hotel room the night before, while she is asleep, and she'll have some presents to open that morning too.

Now what I'm looking for is more ideas. We're on a budget here, so no breaking the bank. We can't afford dinner at CRT or anything that luxurious. Just other little special things to add to her day.

Is there anything that comes to mind that we could/should do with her at the park? We'll be spending her day in MK. I thought about doing a not-so-spendy TS meal and having Disney dining make her one of their cakes but I haven't figured out where might be a good choice in the MK. I'll definitely get her a birthday pin from City Hall too. Should I have her wear a birthday crown so that it's VERY apparent it's her birthday? Any other ideas?

I'm taking dd to WDW for her 7th bday this summer. She doesn't know about the trip yet.. we are going as a family in December and I plan on telling her after we arrive.

I'm going to have dd plan the trip with me... everything will be what she wants to do (with a little guidance from mom!).

I'm expecting that we are going to have breakfast in the castle and spend the day of her bday in MK... but I'm not sure about the rest yet. I opted to book her bday trip as a package w/ deluxe dining so I can splurge a bit on some 2TS meals, so we may check out CG for dinner.

We celebrated DD's 8th bday at WDW last year - it was great! DD wore her birthday button all day and got lots of attention. We went to MK and Epcot that day and CMs were continually wishing her a happy birthday. At Epcot, a CM walked up to her and said "DDName, I've been looking for you - you have a phone call." It was Goofy wishing her a happy birthday. The CM had overheard me using DD's name, but DD didn't pick up on that - she just thought it was all part of the magic

We ordered a cake delivered to our room (stayed at WL) for an afternoon celebration during our rest time. It was a nice day, so we ended up taking it poolside and as we sang happy birthday, assorted CMs and guests joined in - it really made her feel special.

Bottom line is there is no way NOT to have an amazing b-day if it is at WDW.

Enjoy, and tell your DD we said "Happy Birthday!!!"

You can get a birthday cake at any of the table service restaurants. You can get a small (6") ones that just says Happy Birthday for around 12.00, and you can request it ahead of time, or order it when you get there. You can also get a personalized specialty cake, but of course, they are higher. If you eat at a TS restaurant that day make sure you note the birthday on the reservation, and they will decorate the table for you. Also let the hotel know and SOMETIMES they leave surprises (like a few balloons and a signed character card), but that is no guarantee. Make sure she gets a birthday button. You can get it when you check into your hotel, or from customer relations in the parks. Also the BBB will give her a special sash that says Birthday Girl (or something like that) on it. We will be celebrating my DD's 8th birthday at MK on Dec. 16th. Good luck and I am sure your DD will love her magical birthday.

when you make all your ADR's for your whole trip have them make note of her b-day. When you make your hotel reservation have them make note and when you check in remind them.
Be at toontown as the rope drop happens... sometimes magic happens here... then beeline for the judges tent to see the princesses. I have seen the first girl in line get a magical experience. Okay NONE of this is a guarantee but I have seen it happen and it is free!
I don't know if the family day parade is still going on but you could let her march in that. Again this is free.

Make sure you stop by guest relations and get her a button that says it's her bday!

These are all wonderful ideas! Depending on time we might try to beeline for Toontown so that she could be first to meet the princesses. I'm still trying to find a nice yet inexpensive place to have a birthday dinner in the MK. We'll have the cake and sing to her and such and then make sure we catch her favorite part of Disney, the Wishes fireworks. She's going to LOVE it!

Incase you maybe go to Coral Reef in Epcot, the diver can bring a sign down by your table that has a message on it if you can ahead of time. I would think that would be SO COOL.

But if you're taking her to BBB and she's wearing a princess dress in MK, that already sounds like a perfect birthday for a little girl, she will get tons of attention! Maybe try a character meal. have a great trip!

We celebrated dd's 7th birthday in April. We called ahead and ordered her cake for our meal at 1900 Park Fare. We stayed on property and did the Disney Dining Plan. This allowed us to do character meals. We made sure to let them know everytime we made a reservation. There was a cupcake for every reservation. We celebrated the entire trip. We also bought a couple of picture mats and a sharpie to drop off with the front desk for the characters to sign. It was perfect for her pictures with the characters to go in when we got home. We had breakfast at the Crystal Palace and the waitress made sure dd had a cupcake with breakfast. She loved when the cm's and princesses mentioned her birthday.

We just got back from celebrating DD11's birthday at WDW. I let her pick her birthday dinner - she chose Chef Mickey's and I also surprised her with breakfast at 1900 Park Faire - it's not as expensive as the castle, but still very nice. They brought her out a birthday cupcake and sang to her after breakfast. She also wore her birthday pin all day and not only did all of the CMs wish her a happy birthday, but many, many other guests who were waiting in line with us, or even just passed by - it was really nice (although by the end of the day she said she was losing her voice from saying "thank you" so much!). We also did BBB, but in the afternoon. As others have said, let them know when you make your ADRs that you will be celbrating her birthday. Also, when you check in, let the resort know and they will deliver a balloon bouquet and card signed by her favorite character sometime that day. Have fun!
