Planning a December trip 2 nd week of….Me My wife and 2 boys 4 and 8….last year we stayed at the all star sports and the kids loved it….This year we were talking about doing all star movies per youngest sons request of toy story…..With the deep discounts being offered we I was thinking of staying at the Caribbean….Would the kids enjoy that resort or should I stay at the All Stars again….or would you recommend somewhere else….We do not have the biggest budget for 9 nights…..Thanks

If money is an issue in any way I would stay at allstar movies. I would rather have a little more in my pocket.

The Carribbean is a nice resort that I think your family will enjoy. The pool is nicer and the rooms are a little larger, which should be the case since you are paying more. You could split your stay between ASMovies and the Carribbean for the best of both worlds.

I thought about switching but was wondering how much of a hassle that would be....packing and unpacking check out check in....time consuming I would think....I dont know....Will Disney move my luggage and all....How has this worked out for others?

Carribean would definitely be my choice of the two, but it all depends on what you are looking for. CBR is more relaxing, beach-like with hammocs on the sand, nice pools throughout the resort, tropical atmosphere. I'm sure kids would enjoy it, but it is not aimed at targeting the kids only audience as some of the AS resorts are. I'm sure you will have a great time either way.

Disney makes it very easy. They will tell you to call the morning of check out and tell them the resort you are moving to. You just head out for the day, leaving the luggage in the room, and at some point they will pick up your luggage and transfer it to the resort. Then go and check in at the new resort and stop by the luggage room or call from your room for your luggage. There is a chance you will beat your luggage to the room which might be an issue you need it for relaxing. When we moved from ASMo to what was then DxL we checked in at 3 pm and did not get our luggae until about 5pm. Other than that it is very easy. We plan to do 2 nights at ASMo in January before moving to OKW (renting points) for the rest of the week. We will have them transfer our luggage and go check in before heading to the parks that day. We will just call (they give you a number) to find out when our room is ready and head back then. If money is really an issue I would just stay at ASMo the enitre time. It is great, and you can't beat the price!
