Ok, so I am doing this resort change thing I love to do until some force (Dh demands I stop) makes me stop.

Our trip consists of myself, Dh, his mom and his step-father. He wants to share one room and I guess I'm ok with that. We are currently booked at Pop, because that's where DH says he wants to stay. Our trip is for 3 nights in June (6-9) and I'd like to keep it at or under $600 and we can get a military discount and I am not againt renting DVC points. We will really only be there to shower and sleep, with possibly a mid-day break, swim, or for Dh to hit the arcade. No dining plan and we will get the Military 4 day tickets.

Dh told them we would pay for the room, so I am trying to keep it on the lower end. We just spent 8 nights between BWI and BWV in January.

OP, I gotta be honest here. I can't imagine you'll be happy @ Pop with your DMIL and DSFIL in the same bedroom!!!!:scared1: and with one bathroom??? That doesn't scream "happy holiday" to me especially after you've just spent time at BWI. At the very minimum, why don't you look into renting DVC points or maybe Ft. Wilderness cabins (though someone would have to sleep on a Murphy bed and there's still just one bath.

I didn't care for the cabins and yes, still only one bathroom, which to me isn't a problem, we only have 1 bathroom at home. But, I am thinking of over-ruling DH about the Pop room.

If I could get my ILs to pay for all the tickets (which is only $550), I would put the extra money on the room, I mean since we are paying for the room, I think they should pay for the tickets. I don't know where Dh got the idea to tell tem we would pay for the room, I was thinking half and half.

I agree with the first reply post. You are not going to be happy campers with four people crammed into a Pop room unless you are doing one of the family suite room. You mentioned a military discount, have you looked into Shades of Green as a possible destination? You might be able to get two rooms there.

You're a better woman than I'll ever hope to be if you could be happy sharing a single small room and one bath with your inlaws for more than 1 night.:scared1::scared1: I think your DH is out of his ever lovin' mind (bless his heart). I'd really be checking all the possible discounts to see if there was any way of getting 2 rooms (value OR SOG).

My husband and I cannot sleep together in a double bed so the Values are not an option for us. Not to mention adding another couple in the room and no privacy in the value rooms for dressing, etc.

Even a moderate will give you some added room the vanity/bath area for dressing while others in the main living section. I'd check on the prices of POFQ or CSR to get Queen size beds and a little extra room.

Of course, Shades of Green would be super convenient and you could walk over to sit on the beach at the Poly if you needed to escape for a minute or two.

I tried Shades of Green first thing, there was no availability.

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do right now. I can add more to the room budget, I just really didn't want to, but I know that's what it's going to come down to. The military room discount is the best one out there right now, even better than the AP discount. I may have to get 2 rooms at Pop for my sanity and privacy, my Dh doesn't think about stuff like that.

Hi, neighbor. I'm down the road from you a ways. My family was at Disney in Feb '11 and I shared a room at pop w/my parents and sister for 3 nites til my DH arrived. The beds feel smaller than a double, but my sister & I shared. We wore ourselves out at the parks all day and just collapsed when we got back to the room. I didn't have a problem w/the 4 of us because the only thing we used the room for was to bathe and sleep. None of us are high maintenance, so the limited bathroom space wasn't an issue. We each kept our bathroom supplies in a bag on the shelf in the closet; this kept the sink clean for the next person. We did laundry onsite which saved us from taking the big bags.
