4 adults and a 1 year old need limo transport similar to what is offered by Happy Limo, southern elegance or FL tours. We are going from South Jersey to PHL (less than a half hour away). Has anyone used this type of service in the Philly area. If so, what have you paid? Please help.

The only transportation service I know of in South Jersey is Rapid Rover. I'm not sure what they charge.

If it's an option for you, we used Pacifico Valet. They're located a mile or two from the airport. You drive to their facility then one of their drivers drops you off at the gate. When you return, you call them after you pick up your luggage and the driver will return in your vehicle to pick you up (right outside the baggage claim area). It cost us a little over $50 for Sunday-Friday parking, we tipped the driver $5 each way.

Winner Airport parking has the same set up as Pacifico. It's $7.98 a day without a coupon and is oh so convient especially with kids. No moving car seats and schlepping luggage. The phone number is 1-800-978-4848. I got a coupon for $5.98 in one of those val-pak mailings.

Any limo company will be happy to take you to the airport. I don't know the prices but just pull out the phone book and make some calls.

Unfortunately, there isn't a board like the DIS for travel to Philly so it's kind of hard to find out if any one company has a better price or better service than another. Because of boards like this the limo companies in Florida know what everyone is charging and it's very easy for all of us to find out their prices. Therefore, they all have very comparable prices. The same may not hold true for any limo companies in South Jersey. Best bet is to make a few calls to get a few price quotes.

I started to call a few places, and they seemed to be based outside of my area. Also, the prices were pretty outrageous. So, I figured that I should ask some people who may have done it before. Just trying to use any resources that I have available to me.

Don't know if this might be an option, but we stayed overnight at the Embassy Suites PHL airport two weeks ago the night before we flew out. It was $109 a night, included free parking for the week and a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport 24/7, plus a complimentary breakfast and cocktail hour in the evening. We are in the Allentown area, and it was less expensive for us to do it this way than to fly out of LVIA. (SEAL wasn't an option for us, their flight schedule stinks!)
