HELP!! Pay Off Balance Within 30 Day Window...What To Do?

Hey everyone....so our trip to DW is coming up soon. We are leaving March 6th and I called today to add $1200 in discounted gift cards to my balance. This is the first time I ever bought discounted gift cards to pay for my balance and i was bad at estimating delivery time and how much I could buy at one time. Anyway....the CS told me that I am within my 30 day pay off window and should pay my balance now to avoid any cancellations. My dilemma is, I have about $3000 in gift cards on the way and should be here by Monday next week. The CS put a note on my account saying that I am waiting on gift cards and will be paying my balance on Monday, but should I risk it?. I have the money to pay the balance, I was just trying to save a bit extra by buying the gift cards. What would you guys do? Can I get an extension? Thanks in advance for the help.

They could, but since you made a good size payment today, the odds are, they will not cancel your reservation. BUT anything can happen. Also, if you have a bunch of GCs, I would combined them using WDW GC site https://www.disneygiftcard.com/
It will let you combine up to $1,000 onto 1 GC and you can do this as many times as you like.

I also think you should be fine considering you made a payment today and the CM put the note in. I would call as soon as you possibly can once you receive your gift cards though. Also, the Disney gift card site mentioned above is excellent. I've combined cards on there with ease.

With $3000 in GCs on the way, I'd take my chances and wait until Monday. If you're really uneasy, maybe call over the weekend to confirm the note is there and reiterate your intent to pay off the balance on Monday.

The only way I'd forego using the GCs and paying off the balance now is if you *know* you will be going to Disney again in the near future, and could use the GCs to pay for that trip instead. You'd essentially be prepaying for your next trip by hanging onto the GCs, but not everyone has that kind of money. $3000 is a lot of money let sit in Disney GCs indefinitely.
