help-panic attack, possible change of dates

Hi, not sure if this is where I need to post this. Probably 2 months ago or more I asked and asked DH and family when they'd prefer to go, October or early Dec. They picked Dec. so I've been planning for that. Well today DH calls from work out of the blue and says he's been thinking October might be better.

I actually had a room only reservation for both times that I'd set up a while back when we weren't sure of the plan and kept forgetting to cancel the October one. (Actually I was trying to think of a way to go both times). Funny thing, I had just dug the sheet with the confirmation number out and was going to cancel the October reservation today since there is no way we'll go twice. And a few minutes later, the call... Strange!

Anyway, now I feel quite panicked. Does anyone know when the free dining promo ends. I figure we'll need to avoid that time or I won't be able to get any ADR's. I'm sure I can forget any of the places I had planned to go for the December trip.

Should I just stick with my Dec. plans or go with the October (which was when I wanted to go in the first place!)? Help..

I think it ends on September 30, but I am probably wrong. HTH. I haven't been in October (someday), but I have been in December and the parks are just beautiful. I don't look forward to Christmas as I don't have children, but it really put me in the Christmas Spirit this year. The decorations are beautiful and the weather is pleasant, although a few days we were there were quite cold. Good Luck on making that decision, it is a tough one.

I believe free dining ends prior to October. Our last trip was in late Oct. for Halloween. We had a great time - MNSSHP was fun. My kids really enjoyed the special parade led by the Headless Horseman. It was fun watching the Christmas decoration begin to go up following Halloween.

We would have scheduled this trip for the same time, but are attending with two other families, one of which could only travel in Dec.

Thanks for your thoughts. The Oct. week I already had booked was the 1st week and DH says he'd only go at the end of Oct. That made it more complicated getting what we wanted and we'd have to do a split stay, which could be fun. But right now I'm thinking stay with December.

We did get to go in October last year which was so much fun with MNSSHP and I was really sad not to go back at the same time, but we've never done MVMCP and the Dec. trip would be over DD's birthday. Hmmm. May keep thinking on it.

Free Dining much check-in no later than September 22nd.. which means the absolute DEAD latest you could still see Free Dining guests would be 14 days after that.. but I wouldn't expect very many to be staying that long.

The vast majority of Free Dining stragglers should be gone by Sept 30th/October 1st.
