Help on resale

Hello

I need some advice

The seller has not turned in their paperwork & the contract says the deal is to close on or before 10-1-04

Any idea what recourse I have?

My only big concern is there are points that have to be used by 1-31-05

Without getting docs to Disney - we cannot get a DVC# & cannot make reservations for our trips in January.

I would hate to not be able to use the 218 points we got with this deal.

Our last resale was to have closed no later than 9/10 but we did not close until 9/20. Not only did the weather affect this, but our sellers (in South America) neglected to have something notarized so that took a few extra days. I don't have the contract in front of me but I know there was a clause to the effect that closing may be delayed due to unforeseeable circumstances. You might want to check your contract to see if there is similar clause in yours. Good luck -- hope you get this resolved to your satisfaction soon...

You would need to review your contract, but it is likely that your only recourse is to back out of the deal without penalty. You would get your deposit back, but you would not get the contract.

I would talk to the broker and see if they can find out why the seller has not returned the paperwork. If they get it in soon you should be able to be in the system in plenty of time to make January ressies.
