My mom is joining us in May 20-28. We have Fl resident Season Pass tickets that expire May 28. I think it is cheaper for her to get a Fl res Season Pass than a 7 Day Park Hopper. Planning to purchase at the park when we get there. Any suggestions or anything I am overlooking? :cool1:

You don't say if she's a FL resident. They will need to see a driver's license or state issued ID to give her a FL resident pass.

eta: I think if you buy it on-line before you go, you can get a slight discount. There's a link on the official disney page that lets you do this, I think. You'll get a voucher that you have to exchange at guest services.

I'm assuming you ran the numbers both ways? If it's cheaper, then I'd go for it. If she comes again, think of it as a free trip. My DM has lived in FL a lot longer than I have. She bought the FL seasonal pass on our Dec 2004 2 day, pre-cruise trip, and only used it three days, but it was still about the same cost as our non-FL resident 2 day length of stay type pass.

Obviously you are a Resident but is MOM? Make sure MOM has a valid Florida ID, DL, or Military ID with her or you won't be able to get that ticket! They will card her even if you are buying the ticket.
Yes, the season pass is valid then, as there are no black out dates in May, and it will save you about $20 over a 7 day expiring Magic Your Way ticket with the park hopper option. Plus you will be able to use it till it expires next year except black out days of course.
So yes if MOM lives in FLorida also this is the way to go. If she is not a resident, you can't do this even if you are paying for the ticket, She isn't a resident she will not be eligeable for the Florida seasonal Annual pass ticket.
It doesn't matter if you buy the ticket now and get a will call sheet or have a voucher mailed, or even if you buy the ticket at disney, she will still have to go to guest services to buy/activate any type or Florida resident ticket or AP ticket or any type and they will card her.

Thanks, yes mom is a Fl res. I was just covering all my bases. I know if there was a better deal the diser's would know. Thanks for your help. One month and counting!

The Seasonal Pass is a few dollars cheaper to purchase at AAA offices in FL. Call your local office to double check. :sunny:
