Hello everyone! I am going to be in Epcot on NYE, and I am wondering where to make a ps arrangement for dinner. I would really like to go to Spoodles at the Boardwalk, but I am concerned that if I leave the park, and it is at capacity, I will not be able to get back inside. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Wehave been to WDWfor NYE the last 2 years. 2002-3 we started the day at MGM and went to Epcot around 5pm and had no problem getting in(it mayhave closed to guests later soI don't know about leaving for Spoodles and returning). Wehad PS at Teppanyaki and it was good, but had to wait almost an hour even with them. Last year we went to MGM for the whole day and ate at Brown Derby. Call at exactly 90 to make a PS for a sitdown on NYE-they will take a CC # because it is a holiday, but you can cancel 48hrs ahead. MK closed to all guests by 10am both years, so if that is a choice, go early and plan to stay. Epcot also has a separate NYE party for $$$ at Millenium Village with Buffet, live bands, kids stuff and you can go to regular Epcot stuiff and return..we chose not to pay the extra .

We did MGM last year arriving at opening and doing a PS Fantasmic Package for early seating. We did not much care to stay late as our kids are young to early teens and they did not care. When we left around 9 or so it was packing up and I was glad we were not staying! If it were me I would not leave as I have heard horror stories about not being able to get back into a park even with a PS.

We have been to WDW during every major holiday including NYE (we will be there with you again this year) and have never had Epcot close due to crowds. I would not be concerned. If you are, then make a PS for a restaurant inside of Epcot. ::MickeyMo

I'm glad I happened on this thread, because it isn't possible for us to stay in the park all day, for various reasons. I have been getting nothing but discouraging replies, that have me really bummed out, and thinking that maybe this trip wouldn't even be worth it. We know it will be crowded, but we are only going for the holiday atmosphere anyway. We really don't care if we ride anything. But now when so many people are telling me that if we don't get to Epcot at park opening on NYE, and stay all day, that we won't get back in, it makes me wonder why we're even going. Sorry so long, but I'm feeling really down about our trip right now. I'm glad to see that the news isn't all bad. Also, I should add that we were unable to book FW, which is the only place we can have our 4-legged baby girl, so we're not staying on-site. :( Does this mean that I may have gotten my hopes up just a bit only to have my bubble bursted once again? :( Please give me your Epcot on NYE experiences. I'm hoping it's not all bad. At least some of you are giving me some much needed encouragement. :( Thanks in advance.

We did NYE last year and stayed at the Swan. We went to Epcot
for NYE and was is crowded?? Yes!!! I am not a big crowd person
and by 4:00pm I had had enough pushing and crowds, people
were not rude, there were just so many of them!
We were told when we left Epcot that it was closed, MK and AK
were closed too, maybe we were misinformed but thats what
we were told.

Anyway, yes it was crowded but only really bad on NYE. I mean
we are going back again this year same time, same place.
Disney World is really fun that time of year, the weather was great, (I know that can vary year to year but I have my fingures
crossed for both of us). The decoration are beautiful and the
fireworks are great. I think spending NYE at Disney World is
exciting and fun. I have read on these boards that summer
is really crowded and just think how hot it is then! I think you
picked a fun time. As for the parks on NYE, if it matters to you to
be inside Epcot or MK get there early. I would not count on being
able to get back in. I have not made up my mind if we will even
go to the parks on NYE, we may just play miniture golf and go to
Downtown Disney or check out the petting zoo (I think they have
one at WL).

But have a great trip, stay excited and enjoy, we got to do all
the rides and showes we wanted on the other days.

We did last year what you want to do this year. We ate at Spoodles around 7:00 P.M. then walked over to EPCOT through the IG entrance at around 9:00 P.M. No problems at all.
