I’m new here but I love watching Pete Werner best and worst podcasts. The last time I was at Disney World was 14 years ago and was expecting my first. My attraction options were limited to some degree but I still found other things I enjoyed and still remember today. Obviously; much had changed in all that time and I’ve been looking at all the new things over the years. Even watching rides on YouTube because I miss it! Anyway, we are FINALLY going to Disney World this year in September! So excited! We are bringing kids from 14- 18 months and I’m just wondering if all of my kiddos will have fun... also, I remember not being so impressed with Disney Studios while there. There were some shows I liked but other than that I was feeling let down. I’m hoping there’s something to do when we visit? Also we are checking out Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon which I’ve never done. Will my 9, 4, and 18 month old really even enjoy it? I keep reading all the height stuff and it seems like they might be bored. Should we skip those? Also, I’ve heard there are play areas in the parks for kids...like the boneyard area in Animal Kingdom, are there others? Is it better to visit one park per day? Sorry for the novel! Just wanted feedback from those who might know. Thanks!

Our last trip my boys were 6 and just turned 4, they really enjoyed the water parks. We didn't do the big rides, but did the lazy river, went to the younger children's area (though there was an upper height limit on that I think), and at Typhoon Lagoon my eldest loved the waves. We didn't do a full day, but it was worth the visit for us.

We're going again next week, with 9, 6 and 2 year olds. We are going to Blizzard Beach, so I'm hoping there is something my little one can enjoy.

On Hollywood Studios, the new Toy Story area should be open when you visit which will give a bit more to do there

How many days are you planning total? September will have the Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party at MK which will influence when and how you visit that park. If you're there for more than 3 or 4 days, going one park a day will probably work, but if not, you may need park hoppers to work around the party nights at MK.

You can easily fill a week with visits to the 4 main parks. No NEED to do the water parks. But, if that's what you really want, then I suggest spending half days there. Go early and leave by mid afternoon.
I recommend park hoppers for flexibility, variety.
Keep researching the parks, attractions and restaurants.

There will be plenty to do for everyone!

Our first family trip included a 13 month old- you will find assorted play areas (my little guy and I spent a lot of time under Splash Mountain that trip) for your 18 month old.

My three boys are 4 years apart. It works well for us to spend some time together as a group and some time divided up so kids can really enjoy the things they are big enough for/interested in. By dividing and conquering, we give everyone a chance to make some choices.

I really like having one table service meal a day- a nice break to regroup/revisit plans while enjoying A.C. and being waited on.

I like having hoppers....allows for planning the first part of the day without that dictating where we will spend the evening. This opens up options for "divide and conquer" and means we can plan nighttime show viewing around the weather, etc.

We have never done the water parks. We are HS fans....My boys love RnR and ToT. As PP mentioned, you will be there after the new Toy Story land opens.

You will have more to do than you know what to do with! I suppose someone, somewhere, sometime was bored at WDW, but I would think it quite uncommon. There's something for everyone. Your kids will love the water parks, so much to do, so much fun.
