I posted this on the wedding thread also, but am wondering if the answer might be here. Sorry if this is long.

DH & I are renewing our wedding vows. I have designed an invitation using microsoft word. Now, I don't know how to get it printed. Let me describe the invitation.

It is a typical card style. the entire front has a faded picture of our original wedding with an overlay of words. Then when you open it, it has the actual date time, etc.

Is it possible to send this somewhere to be printed? I tried a website the wedding board suggested, but I am lost. I'm not very creative, and the fact that I was actually able to design this on my computer (okay so my kids and dh helped) is somewhat of a miracle. :thumbsup2

I am under the impression you can't send microsoft word documents to places like snapfish, etc. but could this be sent to a place that actually prints invitations. Or should I (have my kids) put it on a zipdrive/usb and take it to a printing place?

Thanks for any suggestions.

BTW, I love looking thru everyones designs. You are all so very talented.

Most photo websites need either a jpg, tif, or png file. Microsoft word does not save to any of these formats. Your only option would be to make a PDF file (if you can through Word) to the highest quality (not screen) and download a free PDF converter (Google PDF to jpg file) to convert the file to jpg. There are other programs that convert word to jpg, but they usually cost money. This way, you are able to upload to the sites and print from there.

You could take it to places like Office Depot or Kinkos and they would be able to do it, but it would cost you more. Your other option is to print it yourself (if you have a small enough quantity.) Your inkjet printer should do a decent job and they sell invitations at all of the major office stores and probably Walmart too. You set up the file in Word (Avery has templates) and print and punch out the cards.
