I posted this questions on the Pre-Trip Reports but didn't get any reply so hoping I will be able to get answers here (I apologize to the admin if I am not allowed to post 2x)

So we are planning for our trip in October (2nd until 12th) and was wondering if you folks can help me plan.

We are just doing 5 days of Disney Park as we want to do 2 days in Universal.

Questions:

Is 2 days enough in Universal? Actually is one day per park enough?

I know the Halloween is not to be miss but which date would you recommend us going?

Any help and tips is greatly appreciated

We will be staying in All Star Music (I know the restaurant is under renovation and I am hoping that it will an easy drive to other All-Star resort)

Also, do you think Legoland is worth it?

This depends on your family and if they like more thrill rides, Harry Potter, etc.... For my family, 2 days is more than enough. My children do not do a lot of the rides at US/IOA so we can see the HP stuff one day and then hit the few other attractions on a 2nd day or even the same day. 1-2 days should be OK.

Any weekday it is offered. Stay away from Friday-Sunday nights for lower crowds. If a weekend is the only option, shoot for Sunday night.

Pack a sweatshirt just in case. While the weather will still be warm and maybe even hot, it can get cool at night sometimes. Odds are you may only need it for later in your stay. Depending on your children's ages and such, you may want to choose park days that will allow them to see what they want most. We usually do 2 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 AK and 1 HS, but that is subjective.

One thing we usually do on MNSSHP day is have a resort day to rest and then head over to MK at 4PM. You get 4PM admission on party night and that allows you to rest and save $$ by not buying the extra day. Or maybe try another park during the day.

Food And Wine will be going on. Try to do this on weekdays and not the weekends. The local traffic tends to pack the place on weekends.

Can add suggestions if you provide #of children, ages and such.

Depends on ages of the kids. Mine are too old for Legoland. Between ages 2 and 8 I would say is the wheelhouse there. Could be different for some, but my DS had very little interest after that.

See above. Have a great trip.

Thank you so much!!!! We are booked for MNSSHP on the 9th. We are skipping Legoland as my kids aged 11 & 8 will be better off at US. They love thrill rides & looking forward for HP experience.

I am hoping that by October, hubby will be well enough for all the walking. He hurt his knee last month & now on therapy. Bad timing but he promised the kids to bring them in October.

I'm going to chime in and ask if you have experience going on Columbus Day week? We are traveling October 10-17 and wondering if crowds empty out after Columbus Day or still lingers for the week?
We have been plenty of different times ( never on a holiday or summer) so not sure how crowds would compare?
Thanks for any info

I am wondering about the week of Columbus Day too. We will be there OCT 4-19 and booked MNSSHP on Columbus Day. I was hoping that since kids go back to school Tuesday, it wouldn't be busy.
