I cannot decided if I wish do go for OCT and MNSSHP or December and MVMCP!!

I had a trip planned in MAY but unforunatly we have to postpone! I had been planning for over a year!
Here is a little info about us:
We are from Maine so celebrating Christmas with out snow might be exciting!! We are both in our 20's no kids, and will be together 5 years April 21st! I am leaning towards Christmas because I think it would be romantic, exciting and fun! BUT I love Halloween and the weather seems so much nicer!

HELP PLEASE!!

October, October, October! It's beautiful and the crowds are lighter. I would never go in December with the crowds.

My husband & I always go in October, its tradition now. We went there for our honeymoon and now go every other year. Our anniversary is 10/19, its always decorated for Halloween when we get there. The weather has always been nice, not too hot, just right. I would say go in October, you can always plan another visit, in December. I've always wanted to go in December too!

Christmas at the World is fantastic. I have done MVMCP and MNSSHP and prefer the Christmas party. I am a big Christmas fan (I put up 7 full trees, and one 4 foot tree). The parks are gorgeous, and if you are looking for more of a romantic trip, I would suggest Christmas.

POFQ is a beautiful resort with lovely grounds. You could spend time going to the other resorts and looking at the decorations. I recomment the GF. The gingerbread house inside is spectacular.

Good luck deciding, it is a hard decision. Maybe free dining will come out, and that will make up your mind for you.

We go in October and we love it, but it's my dream to go during the holiday season and see the decorations and the castle all in lights and the candlelight processional (and of course, MVMCP). I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.

Wow, tough one, because I've gone both times and love both! It would really depend on when you want to go - the first couple weeks of December are awesome because you still get warm weather plus less crowds and the enjoyment of all the decorations. We went during Christmas in 2010 and will never do it again although we had fun - the weather was so unpredictable, and most days we were in sweaters with jackets (most mornings it was 37 degrees!!). In 2009 my sister and I took my Dad for his birthday the second week of December and it was wonderful - 80 degrees most days, no crowds to wade through, and we got to enjoy all the lights every night at the parks. Halloween is awesome - went last year and every day was beautiful. My daughter and her boyfriend spent the money on the halloween party, but we went into the park with them from 4-7 (you have to leave at 7pm if you don't have a ticket), and we enjoyed seeing all the costumes and decorations without the price of a ticket.

October is our favorite time of year to go. The weather is great and it is not too crowded. We also love the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. The weather in December can be a lot more variable...it may be nice, but you will also encounter cool days, which can make days at the pool a bit cold. Christmas week can be very crowded, but early in December the crowds aren't bad.

We've gone twice in December and LOVED it both times. We're planning on doing the same this year. All of the parks & hotels are decorated beautifully. The crowds the first week of December are the lowest of the year. The day we went to MK the longest wait we had was 10 minutes and that was for the monorail at the TTC. And MVMCP is awesome! Lines are basically non-existent. We pretty much walked on every single ride during the party. Plus the castle w/ the icicle lights, the Xmas parade, the snow (yes, actual snow) on Main St., hot cocoa & sugar cookies - we LOVED MVMCP. Then there is the Osbourne lights at DHS. They are A-MAZ-ING! The closer you get to Christmas Day the busier it gets but I absolutely love the first week of December. The first time (2006) we went the weather was great and we wore shorts all week. The last time we went (2010) a cold front moved in and it was cold most of the week BUT it's December and the Christmas decorations are up. It was actually really nice. And the pools at the Disney hotels & resorts are heated so even when it's cold you can go swimming.

December - that's my vote!:thumbsup2

The correct answer to this question is "yes". ;)

Both are wonderful times to visit WDW. We love October for Food & Wine at Epcot. We love December for all the decorations. If you have to pick just one, I'd go for the end of October when, for a brief time you can get both MNSSHP and MVMCP. Based on 2011, there was less than a week between the last MNSSHP and the first MVMCP.

:thumbsup2 Typically the last MNSSHP is 11/1 and then MVMCP picks up anywhre from 11/8 on. I researched it the other night and I think that was the earliest date I found for MVMCP.

We have been in the fall yearly since 2002. We do Halloween a couple of years then first two weeks of Dec.

Our last Christmas was in 2010 and we nearly froze to death.

We were there for Halloween in 2009, 2011 and will be again this year. There is alot to be said for both. October will obviously have a milder temp and December can be shorts one day and parkas the next.

I would just pick one and then alternate with the other every year--the perfect plan in my book.

We are still debating about 2013 but I am leaning toward Dec then. Both parties are great, F&W is great, decor for both seasons are beautiful They decorate for Oct/Nov almost as much as Dec. There is fall bunting all around main street with pumpkin flower arrangements everywhere. So you really can't go wrong.

and ...everyone has to see the Headless Horseman and WDW Santa at least once.
