Next month, I am planning a trip to WDW with my wife and parents and wanted to surprise them with tickets to La Nouba. I can't afford the reg price for the tickets, but have seen two different promo's pop up for them that I could afford. Both the Florida resident and Cirque Club offer category 2 tickets for only $50 each, but both have their own issues.
Florida resident promo: This one is a little tricky as I am not a Florida resident, but will have a aunt with me that can show her ID. When I called the box office, I was informed when picking up tickets, all adults must show proof of residency from Florida. This would be a killer for me since only one person will have residence status. The good thing about booking directing with Disney is that you can select the seats you want instead of them automatically given to you from Cirque's website. ( I am trying to avoid the dreaded 101 and 105 sections )
Cirque Club promotion: Same thing as the Florida resident, but no residency required. The only negative is that when trying to book tickets online, the only sections open are 101 and 105. When I call the box office directly, others are open, but they cannot book the Cirque Club promo. The only way to buy these tickets are from the website of Cirque, but will only give you sections 101 and 105 even though others are open.
So has anybody from out of state had luck getting either of these two promotions to work for them? What was your game plan, and how did it turn out. Much thanks for all the help you can offer !!
