I am second guessing myself about my tentative plans for July 18. I have the Fantasmic Dinner booked at Mama Melrose at 4:50 on a night when MGM has evening EMH.
I am afraid both that it will be overly crowded and that MM will not be good. Would we be better off keeping this plan, or just hitting Fantasmic during its second showing on a non-EMH night? Friday 20 would work for us.

I really need some educated opinions about this! Our trip is less than 3 wks. away and I am obsessing! If I do cancel, will I be able to get an ADR this short notice? We would be willing to try almost anything.

If a little background helps: there are 4 of us, me, DH , DD (12) and DS (10). They are night owls, so time is not a factor.

TIA:)

We love Mama Melrose! Of the three places with the dinner package, it is definately the best. On our trip a few summer's ago, we tried to see it without the dinner package by it was already at capacity by the time we got there, so we went home and booked the dinner package for later in our trip. Keep your plans. It'll be great!

Another Mama Melrose fan here. DH said it was one of his favorite meals last year, so we're again doing the Fantasmic package (on July 10). One thing I've tried to learn from these boards is to not second guess myself too much. If I did that, we would never eat anywhere, and we'd never go to any park, or stay at any resort, because I've read "problems" with all of them!

Have fun.

Definitely agree -- keep your plans. MM is a must if we are on the package. Flatbreads are excellent and everything else we have ever had is good as well. Great ambience and it's a gorgeous walk after dinner from MM over to the stadium.

We also had a great experience last year with the MM package and have it booked again for our upcoming trip.

Sorry we are the minority here, we hated MM. We would never, ever go back. The food was awful the service was so-so, never again.
