G'day,

I am planning our ADR's as our 180 day window opens up in 4 days. We have purchased the Deluxe dinning plan so I understand that that is 3 Table Service Meals per day and 2 Snack Credits ??? is this correct.

Now I noticed that Mickeys BBQ and Cali Grill require Signature Credits ( I have no Idea what they are ??? ) Can someone please explain :confused3

Now Hoop Dee Doo and Luau are Dinner Show Credits ( What are these :confused3)

Also if I only want to use Counter Service can I use my TS credits ???
Would this be a waste???

I am so confused :headache:

Thanks in advance
Jenshell :santa:

Instead of thinking of it as 3 TS/day, think of it as 3 meal credits a day. You can use them however you choose.

The Signature restaurants and dinner shows require 2 meal credits. So, if you decide to go to one of these, you will only have 1 credit left for that day.

However, you can use more than 3 meal credits in one day if you choose to do so, but once they are all gone, you're done. For instance, if you are staying for 6 nights, you have 18 meal credits. If all 18 are used before your 6th or 7th day, you'll have to pay OOP. The same is true for your snack credits. You would have 12 credits to be used anytime during your stay. Most people don't ever have this problem, but wanted to make sure you understood.

Using some of your credits for CS is not your best option, but as long as 2/3 of your credits are used for TS, you'll still come out ahead.

A lot of people like to use their credits for one signature meal and one TS meal per day. It all depends on what appeals to you at the restaurants. If you do use them for one sig and one TS, then you can use your 2 snack credits to hold you over between your big meals.

Thanks Sharonabe,

Thanks so much your explanation has just made it so much easier for me to understand. I'ts late here in Australia and I have just finnished a 12 hour shift  so I am very tired but I really want to get my ADR's sorted for my TA to start booking. :woohoo:

So a Signature Credit and a dinner show credit is the same as a table service credit or is it 2 TS credits????? :confused3

I am so please about being able to use more than the 3 credits a day :yay:

Thanks very much

Jen

It's getting late here in SE Asia, but not as late as it is for you yet.

Your Sig and dinner shows will take 2 TS credits.

I'll be on and off the rest of the night, so if you get them figured out, post them and I'll see if you have used all or more than all your credits. How many nights are you staying?

Oh great thanks for the advice on the sig and dinner shows, we are staying for 14 nights and then we are off on the Dream for 4 nights. We are arriving on the 8th December and leave on the 22nd December for our cruise. We can only get a 10 day park pass but thats fine I have decided we will do 2 days in the park and 1 out so that will be 4 days out of the park but we can still eat in the resorts so that great. I want to go to Universal and Islands of Adventure we are also Dr Seuss freaks lolllllll

Will post what i have soon

Jen

I noticed that you have the Luau and wanted to mention that this has a tendency to get cancelled because of weather because it's outside. December temps at night can get quite chilly and it may not be enjoyable.

Right now you have 22 credits used, so you still have plenty to use up. With 14 nights, you have 42 credits.

As for your bday, I'd leave the park. I've never been to any of the following, but they get very good reviews and are seen as special places, so check out the menus at
Citrocios, Narcosses', and Artist Point. These all take 2 credits, but you have plenty. The first two are at Grand Floridian and the last one at Wilderness Lodge, so they will be easy to get to from MK.

As for the Luau, I'd keep the ADR. If they do cancel it, you don't lose anything. I read somewhere on the WDW site that they don't cancel it for cold unless it gets below 50 F(not sure what that is in Celcius), but they will cancel for thunder storms which are rare in Dec. I'm not sure if they cancel for just rain, but that's not a normal rainy season for Orlando either. Just make sure you have adequate clothing for being outside on a cool evening.

You may also want to schedule a Fantasmic Pkg for one of your Studios days. Unfortunately, show dates have not yet been released for Dec., but your travel agent MAY have them and be able to do that. Since your already doing Hollywood & Vine, your other choices for a F! pkg are Brown Derby (2 credit) and Mama Melrose (Italian), both of which are very good.

You still have a lot more planning to do!! Have fun perusing the menus!
