Hi, I'm taking 25 high school seniors to Orlando for their Sr. trip in late May (we arrive 5/22, leave evening of 5/25). I'd like some feedback on this itinerary:

Arrive Sat. a.m.--free day on Int'l Drive, shopping, etc.

Sun.--day at Ron Jon and Cocoa Beach

Mon--US or IOA

Tues--Wet n Wild, depart in bus at 5 pm

I tried to avoid parks on the weekends b/c of locals. Does it matter which park we do Mon/Tues? Will US/IOA be significantly less crowded on Tues? I put it on Monday so the kids could enjoy the evening there...on Tues we must depart for home in the late afternoon. How are US/IOA and WnW on Sundays? I think the beach day would be even better at the end of the trip...to crash after being commandos for a couple of days, but I was afraid that US/IOA and WnW would be much more crowded on a Sunday.

I'd appreciate LOTS of feedback!!! TIA!

Getting it done before Memorial w/e, good planning on everything! That's how I'd do it too.
25 teens? You are not only a good planner, you are brave!!

Forgot to ask...should we try the Universal Park Hopper (1 day, 2 parks) or just make a choice?
I don't think these kids are commandos...they're dumb enough to stand in lines for 90 minutes at a time!
Also, I'm guessing IOA would be a smarter choice b/c of the thrill-seeking, adrenaline-rush-craving nature of teens, but if I should consider US or both parks, let me know!

I would plan on going to the beach the first day, then a day of Universal and one of IoA, and then Wet and Wild (actually, I'd do one of the Disney waterparks since the theming is so much better). I know that teens love shopping (I have two teens myself), but to spend a whole day doing that is a lot when there are so many other things to enjoy that you don't have back home. If you spent two days in the parks the kids would be able to go back and forth between the parks with the two day pass.

Are you bussing down? if so they would then crash and sleep a lot of the way back.

Make sure that the kids have their park tickets available to them so they can get express tickets. When my daughter went to WDW a couple of years ago with band the chaperones kept the park tickets. It meant that instead of being able to get fastpasses they had to stand in the regular lines. They did sweet talk their way into a fastpass or two, but since it was President's Day weekend the lines were bad.

The Mummy should be open by the time you make your trip and that promises to out thrill all of the thrill rides out there. This attraction will be at US, so you might want to get two park passes for this reason. Any chance you can stay a night on site for the FOTL access? It may be worth the extra $$ to the students for the chance to by pass the lines and ride all the thrill rides as much as they want. Senior trip only comes along once.

I think your plan is perfect. It gives you the best of everything. Also IOA would be good because they will probably be drawn to that, but US will have the Mummy as well as previously posted and from what I hear, they won't want to miss it!
