Wed Feb 9 Epcot/Free Day
Breakfast: Club Lounge
Lunch: Sunshine Seasons QS Epcot
Dinner: Le Cellier Epcot (TS)

Thur FEB 10 Check out day
Breakfast: Cape May buffet pay out of pocket

Soooo, do you think it is feasible for me to pay the difference to upgrade us to Deluxe dining to give us some more snack credits (can use for water/ drinks in parks as well) and to cover the out of pocket meals??

I am wondering if it would be worth the probably extra $300???
Currently we are paying for the basic plan, with 1TS, 1QS, 1 Snack per day.

Thanks for your consideration/thoughts!!! :goodvibes

It doesnt seem like it for only 2 OOP meals. Since you are staying CL, you can get snacks there and breakast and such. I personally think the DxDp is way too much food. After 10 days on the regular DP last Sept we left never wanting to look at food again LOL. We actually even ended up with quite a few snack credits left over to get stuff to take home last day, I cant imagine if we had 2 snack credits each per day.

I agree with PP, since you are staying CL and don't have that many signatures planned, I think the deluxe plan would be over kill. JMO but I would stay with the DDP.

I would say yes. It would cover those 2 table service meals and also you would be able to include more TS if you want. For instance scanning through your list you could do TS Yak and Yeti instead of QS. TS menu includes a lot.

Also on the Deluxe plan it is so nice being able to order appetizers with the meal. I am one who enjoys the appetizers much more then the desserts.

Also, breakfast in the club louges is "ok" but if you had deluxe dining then you could chose other fun breakfast places. We have done both, club level and deluxe dining and we def enjoy deluxe dining more. With the schedule you have already you are not going to be at the lounges all that much anyway. If you just stayed at BC not in club level and upgraded to Deluxe dining you might even save money. :confused3

The extra snack credits are great too in my opinion. They work out well for our family. We are doing 5 nights of deluxe dining in 4 weeks. We have 5 2TS credit meals and 5 1TS. For breakfast we will be brining ceral and buying half gallon of milk $3.19 from the hotel. We will also have snack credits to use.

We are doing:
Artist Point
CA Grill
Naccoossee's
Citricos
Yachtmans Steakhouse
Le Cellier
Via Napoli
Yak and Yeti (TS)
Teppan Edo
Coral Reef

So in a nut shell I think the felxabilty of being able to add more TS's (if you want), not having to pay OOP for those 2, being able to order an appetizer at TS meals (Teppan Edo allows kids to order adult apps bc they do not offer kids apps), the extra snack credits and the resort mug would all make it worth it to me to upgrade the dining.

If you were wanting to change all of your QS meals to TS and/or add in another TS meal per day, more dinner shows or signature meals, then I would say go for it but as it stands, I would not suggest it. I love the deluxe plan, but I do not think that it would be cost effect to upgrade in your case.

Thank you so much for all the replies so far.....please keep them coming as to what your personal thoughts are, as I am weighing all options seriously.

I don't really want to give up Club level as I love CL.....love the robes, turn down, knowing where my room will be in the resort (5th floor).....

I might be open to changing to more signature meals....I would love to try Jiko if they still have that Filet Mignon/mac chs. meal..... but I don't want to be overkill on the food either.....

Hmmmm thinking about it, if I stay the way I am..... I could probably add a couple appetizers when I want (Le Cellier cheese soup for sure), a few drinks/snacks here and there AND stay under the $300 mark it would cost to upgrade????

Thanks for the help, I'm soaking it all in!!! :goodvibes

If those are the plans you're happy with, no, I don't think it makes sense to upgrade. If you'd like to add more signature dining or do a few character breakfasts or change some QS lunches to TS, it might. I think that staying club level, the DxDDP is going to be somewhat less attractive because you have a light breakfast covered without using dining plan credits.

An FYI on the Jiko filet....yes the filet is still on the menu but it comes with fingerling potatoes not the mac and cheese. They got rid of that.

As someone who has down DxDDPw/ CL as the same time - it is too much food. I feel we didn't enjoy the lounge nearly as much as we should have.

I agree with most other posters that CL and dddp is a bit overkill. You have a wonderful plan right now, and I don't think upgrading would be worth the changes you would have to make. Also it would not allow you to take advantage of the CL options that you are already paying for. Have a great trip!

Thank you all :) I think I will stick to plans as they are and order the Cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier, and pay for the few things OOP that we will need to: The one dinner at Rose and Crown, and the one breakfast at Cape May.
Thanks for all the tips/thoughts! I will be sure to enjoy the CL lounge too :goodvibes
Either way, I think this will run us under the $335 it would cost us to upgrade to Deluxe
