Help needed re Xmas from over here in the UK

Hi guys - we're looking to visit California for the first time this Xmas/New Year. Ideally we'd like a week's skiing and then a week in California, to visit Disney, Universal, etc.

Please could someone give us advice on what sort of weather conditions would be like in California from 26/27th December for a week or so, what temperatures would be like.

Also, in this week what would you suggest we do - ie visits, not sure how far any where is from Los Angeles/Anaheim.

We may stay at Sheraton Anaheim, next to Disney - anyone got any views?

Our December weather is variable, but typically highs would be in the low 60s with nights dipping into the low 40s. We do sometimes get very cold spells (for us) with highs around 50 that time of year. Rarely does it get past the low 70s in late December. Nights are ALWAYS chilly here, year round.

That is also the beginning of our supposed rainy season but we have been suffering from a drought for the past few years and rainfall has been less than normal.
