Help needed- possible rescheduling

Hello fellos Dis-ers. We are scheduled to come and visit DLR starting on Sunday. Last night, my husband passed out and ended up in the hospital- he is checking out medically so far, but I don't think a long plane ride followed by hot, crowded days walking around would be a great idea--

Has anyone had to reschedule so close to thier trip? Any tips?

I'm so sad- but am happy hubby seems ok-

That is too bad. Is DH ok to travel? Did you ask the doctors that?

See if you can catch 24 of 48 hour cacellations windows, or get credit toward another visit.

Last November, 3 days before we supposed to leave for Hawaii, Dh came down with Shingles. We ended up rescheduling for January and I am really glad we did.

We had booked our flight directly with the airline so I worked with them to change the air. We were flying on Alaska and they would NOT waive the flight fee.....oh well.

The ground portion was booked thru Costco and they went above and beyond and we ended up paying no fees to them for changing the dates.

I am so glad your Dh is okay.


P.S. Alaska charged us $75 pp to change our tickets even after talking to a bunch of supervisors and offering to give them a doctors note. IMHO, that was money well spent. Nobody wants to be away from home if they aren't feeling 100%.
