Help Needed Please!

New to this forum and it is wonderful, but I have a few questions I cant find answers to. I just got my " Unofficial Guide to Disney" book and I am more confused... here are just a few of my questions.. Our trip is planned for 3/25-4/1 So I am just a getting a little nervous!!

DISNEY QUESTIONS


1.Our children are both over the age of 10. Dose that mean we will be paying adult prices for park tickets and also 4 adult tickets for the Dinning plan if we decide to purchase it?

2.Same for resort reservations- both children are over 10 years old, will we be paying for 4 adults instead of 2 adults and 2 children?

3.What are some of the pros and cons of staying OFF site

4.What are some of the pros and cons of staying ON site > for a handicapped child

5.When reservations are made I understand a $200.00 deposit is required, but can we pay the rest when we arrive at Disney?

6.If we decided to do a on site resort can I add the dinning plan after we arrive?

Thanks for any advice anyone can give, I'm sure I will have plenty more questions to come.

1. 10 is considered adult for tickets and the dining plan.

2. 18 is considered adult for the hotel.

3. The biggest pro I can think of for staying off site is more space for less money. Cons include having to pay for parking (and it's really better to have a car if you're staying on property, not being able to take advantage of EMH, and not being able to book FP at 60 days.

4. I'm not aware of there being any pros or cons to staying on site with a handicapped child.

5. $200 dollars in the deposit for a package, and packages have to be paid off 30 before arrival. On a room only reservation, you make a deposit equal to one night's lodging, and I think on that you can pay the balance when you arrive.

6. No. I think you can do it up to 3 days in advance.

Are you saying though that you want to go 3/25 - 4/1 of this year and haven't booked yet? Easter week is going to be crowded and there might not be a lot of hotel rooms available this late.

My last trip, the balance had to be paid 45 days out.
