help needed for first timer

I would really like to get my children GOH pins as we have been looking forward to Disney for a long time and I want to give them the best trip ever. Please tell me where I can buy these?

I don't really have the whole answer-I know you can order them before you leave at www.giftsofalifetime.com. I also think I remember them being sold in Downtown Disney--maybe at the Christmas store- Hopefully someone with lots more knowledge will be along soon..

Nothing more than the CM's and characters will know your name. Everyone kept calling DD by name and she could not figure out how they knew her (she is only 4) and the characters signed her autograph book directly to her, like Cinderella signed, "to Princess Hannah, Love Cinderella". Worth it to us, in fact we all have them. Funniest thing is, they look like CM badges so people keep asking us questions. One person in line at TOT in front of me, turned to me and asked if I was riding on my day off. I had to laugh and say yes. It really was my day off, just not from working at Disney.

We bought our GOH badges at the Christmas store at DTD 2 weeks ago. They only had one of our names in stock, so we had to wait about 1 1/2 hours to get 2 other names engraved (wait time depends on how many orders are waiting to be engraved ahead of yours). They also engrave picture frames and other things.

The perk was that the CMs would strike up conversations with my son while we were waiting in line (and sometimes us). He got a kick out of that, and it helped us since he sometimes has trouble waiting. Having a touch of autism, he can be funny about strangers talking to him, but he really enjoyed the attention there!

we had GOH badges made at MGM.The store was to the right on the main street and was in one of the 1st shops we went in.It took only a few minutes to have 2 badges made as 2 of our children have uncommon names.

We bought our DD one of these badges on our last visit. She loves wearing it & being called by her name by the CMs. In fact I might buy one for myself in August.

We bought it from a shop in MGM it s on the right hand side of the main street as you go in. I think it was called 5 & dime but I'm not sure.

We had the badge engraved because DD goes by the shortened version of her name, It only too approx 30 mins. DD's has winnie the pooh on it & they also had mickey & minnie ones.

By the way our sons who were 9 & 14 at the time wouldn't entertain them.
