I'm not a huge gamer but I do have one peticular computer game I like to play. Unfortuantly my computer refuses to play it (currently I'm using my dad's computer). The game is called Sid Meier's Pirates! Live the Live. Looking at the system requirements it says that I need a 64 MB Windows 2000/XP and Hardware T&L-compatible SVGA video card* and a Windows 2000/XP-compatible sound card*.
*Device should be compatible with DirectX version 9.0c or higher.
One of my other problems is that even though I have DirectX 9.0c on my computer it says that it's not working... (not sure exactly what is wrong with it since I haven't tried to play on my computer in months.)
So my question is what Video card and Sound card should I buy to upgrade my computer to allow me to play my game on my computer (and I have no clue what is in my computer already, all I know is that it doesn't work. lol). Oh and what does it mean by "Hardware T&L-compatible SVGA video card???
