We are staying at Cabana Bay, we leave a week from Tuesday. I have not bought tickets yet.. Can I wait and buy when I get there or is it best to do in advance? We are only doing US for one day and not doing park to park. I need to know top things to do and order to do them. We will have 4 adults 3 children ages 8, 9, 12. It's been 16 years and I'm totally lost!!! help

I think it's a lot easier to buy tickets from home as that is one less line when you get there. We bought at AAA and got a little discount. There are other sources also.
Like at Disney, you want to arrive early and get the potential longer waits out of the way before the parks fill up. That big coaster as soon as you enter is one of them as is the harry potter diagon alley land. You can't do the train without the park hopper though.
Minions is one to do early also and Transformers defintely and probably the Mummy. If a younger one doesnt want to do a coaster, then take them over to et. Other things like the Simpsons and Men In black and the terminator and shrek you should be able to do with lesser waits this time of year. That's a general game plan.
You can buy a Touring Plans online or an Unofficial guide that will give you very detailed itineraries if you want also.

Have a look at the website if you haven't already www.universalorlando.com

You'll see everything the park has to offer and what things your family may like to do. Touring plans are unnecessary at Universal generally.

Get there early and hit Minions first if that's a priority, or do it last. You have the one hour EE at Cabana Bay, that'll help.

Have fun..........:)

If you want to ride the Hogwarts express, you WILL need a park to park ticket. There is no way to ride it without one

Since you have not been to the darkside in over 16 years, it will seem like a new adventure for you

Do Check out UO website and city walk

Learn the layout of the parks and be familiar with the rest rooms, first aid, eateries, rides, etc are located

Some rides have been replaced since you were last time
Gone are ghostbusters, back to the future, jaws, jimmy neutron, etc
