I wanted to get your opinion on being close to the elevators. I think I love the convenience of not having far to go to come and go to our room but will it be noisy?

Please if anyone has been on either boat near an elevator let me know what you thought of it.

I have room on hold with DU and need to make a decision today.

I was in room 6624 near the aft elevators on the wonder in jan.
We had no noise from them at all and I was glad to be near them( and also the stairs which we used more often) I would ask for the same room again!

Hi Mazzarafe, I too had a concern about my room on the Wonder...I have room 6562 booked. I was reassured by fellower Dis'ers that it was a great room. Right by the elevators & yet still quiet! Based on the info I read I decided to keep my room, after all, just how much will I be in it? I'll be lucky if I sleep @all, 4 nites just doesn't seem like it is going to be long enough! I think you will be presently surprised if you keep that room! Kathy

We were on the Magic Jan. 19 and had room 6058. It was a great location. We didn't have any noise from the elevators and it was wonderful to walk down one level and be right at the kids clubs.:) I too was concerned about noise before we left, but it was a great room and being mid-ship it was very convenient to get to the dining rooms and theatre. Good luck with what ever you choose and have a great cruise.:D

Thank you so much for your opinions. I was not as much worried about hearing the elevators as hearing the people getting off and on and passing by the room. I guess I'm just gonna go for it and not give it a second thought. We'll probably be so tired at night we won't hear a thing anyway. Now all I have to do is find something to keep my mind off how long I have to wait to go!

I'm sure as my trip gets closer I'll be looking for some more input. This is our first Disney cruise, but our 3rd overall. We have not gone on one since 5/93 so I'm just alittle rusty on the ins and outs of cruising these days.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Mazzarafe,

Out of the seven days we were on the boat, I think one time I heard some children pass by and it was probably late afternoon just before dinner. It was always quiet at night, we never had any problems. We hope to go again this fall and would love to have the same room. Let me know it I can answer any more questions.

we were in a room right next to the mid elevators on the magic...
also on deck 6...whenever our dd wanted to go to the club all we
had to do was just walk down 1 flt of stairs and we were there...
also there was no noise...our ship was at capacity...dont even
bothering thinking twice about it....it is no big deal...

Noise near the elevators... a favorite question on this board. The consensus is that there's no problem with noise near the elevators. And noise from other decks is not a problem on Deck 6.
