We are due to leave for Disney Wednesday. My DH has been having stomach issues and they seem to be getting worse. I dont think I opted in for the trip cancellation insurance when I booked our package. Disney site shows $200 fee if you cancel 2 days prior. I called them, but of course, they are closed. Tomorrow will be 1 day prior and if you cancel one day prior, you lose your entire package cost. Anyone know anything else? Is it 1 day prior to check in time??

Correct.

Anytime tomorrow will be considered 1 day prior. Wish I had better news.

Sometimes they will allow you to move it ahead per ex for another trip in near future. That what they told me last year when Dh got a blood clod in his lungs & was in hospital two days before we left. Called them & explain & they looked as we had another trip planned for this past Sept (room only) they just credit the balance over to that trip. Wished him well. Call might get lucky. :) Good luck !!

I have moved a trip before to avoid the penalty and then cancelled it after, so as not to incur any fees. I don't think you'll have any trouble, sending well wishes to your family.

Thanks for your help and best wishes!!! If I did purchase cancellation insurance, does it show up on my confirmation email??

I think I am a little late but if you purchased the insurance it would show up under the breakdown of costs at the bottom.

It should show on your first email and any other emails. If not sure call them. Keep in mind you will have to go through that insurance policy to get a refund. Disney just refund if you got the insurance, you have to use the policy ( insurance) to get refund. You will have to prove that it was covered under the policy. Good luck. :)
