HELP! Need software to monitor Facebook Chats

I went to Best Buy and they don't have anything for this. Has anyone used software to monitor Facebook Chats? And if so, can you let me know what it is and if it works well for you.

Several years ago we used software called IOPUS (I think) It monitors everything from IM to website activity. Basically a keystroke recorder. We could tell everything coming in or going out. I have not idea if it's still around.

What you're looking for is a keylogger. You can download them for free from sites like CNET, but I personally wouldn't use freeware spyware -- too much chance of it spying on you, too. Spring the money to buy the software.

OH, I am willing to pay for it. I just want to know what software is "good" to use. I am afraid to download stuff that I don't know anything about. I would rather buy software and install it, but I don't know what to buy.

BTW, we use Comcast for our internet. I am not sure if that makes any difference. Seems like they should offer a service like this that you could order with your internet.

It really depends on how you want to do it. If you have a network you can monitor network traffic pretty easy with a sniffer and the best part is it doesnt have to be installed on the target computer. You can always use software but the drawback to it is the person is usually aware that there is some sort of parent software running etc. You can use a key logger however to do that you need to install the logger on the targets computer and you run the risk of it being picked up by anti virus or by the person using the computer.

I personally think packet sniffing would be the easiest way to do it, it just really depends on your setup and how you want to go about doing it
