Hey All!

So I am flipping out right now. My friend is a BIG TIME seafood lover...I am not. I hate EVERYTHING seafood! However, I want to take her out to dinner to celebrate a late birthday! This will be her first time visiting Disney...or even FLORIDA for all that matters!!:scared1: Anyways!

I was searching and came up with a few choices for dinner....I need help with which one would be the best experience for both of us (her a seafood lover..me, well, a seafood hater..I guess you could say :cutie:)

These sparked my interest the most:
-Fulton's Crabhouse (however it may be out of our way?)
-Narcoossees
-Flying Fish
-California Grill (I dont like that I have to prepay so early...)

Our background:
I will have just turned 21, she will have just turned 23. We arent exactly partiers..BUT we would like to do something fun that night other than just eat dinner (we will be spending the day at Animal Kingdom which closes at 5!) I was thinking since they no longer have the adult bars (grapevine..? true/false..I dont know) at Downtown Disney that MAYBE Fulton's may be out of our way unless they have other fun stuff to do? I dont know! :(
We were looking at the Boardwalk and noticed that they have a few lounges and would love the lounge atmosphere, but I was also noticing that Narcoossees and California Grill offer AMAZING views of the fireworks during dinner!!!

So, as you can tell, I am so confused here! LOL! I would like to know what the best option is and the best food selection is! I guess we could go to the boardwalk then head to dinner later or go to an early dinne then head to boardwalk maybe. We will be staying at Beach Club/Bay Lake Towers!

Thanks for the advice..I know I am so scatter brained! :rotfl:

For something a little different, how about Cape May at the Beach Resort? Their dinner is buffet style with the emphasis on seafood. But they also have chicken and ribs for the seafood haters.:rotfl2: Check out their menu in the dining section at the top of this page. It might fit the bill.
As for something to do after dinner, its not that far to the boardwalk and you could check out the night life there (ie: Jellyrolls)

Um - BC is an Epcot area resort. BLT is an MK area resort. Nowhere near each other (unless you mean you are not staying together).

Cape May Buffet was also my first thought; buffet choices for both of you, and then go over to tbe Boardwalk afterwards. ESPN and JellyRolls both offer adult beverages there. No need to go all the way to DTD.

BUT - not a terribly 'special' location. Nearly every restaurant at WDW has at least 1 fish option and at least 1 non-fish option (in fact, usually 1 steak + 1 chicken + 1 pork + 1 vegetarian). Check the menus here or on allears.net and see what appeals to you. What about Kouzzina? Kind of 'special', not a Signature so more $ for later in the evening. Otherwise either Cape May or Flying Fish.

The best seafood is at bluezoo but since it isn't on your list, I'd go with Flying Fish and then plan on hitting Jelly Rolls after dinner. They are both on the Boardwalk, about a 2 minute walk from one to the other.

Nope, I will be at BLT while she will be at BC...

I was looking at Kouzzina and it didnt really appeal to either of us.

Cape May would be great, but we already have a Cape May breakfast and would like a different atmosphere...I know the breakfast is completely different as it is a character breakfast....is the atmosphere completely different? Also, are there more children at Cape May (which is one reason we were gearing towards a signature price doesnt really matter either)

Thank you!!! :) I prefer seafood hater buffets! I think Jellyrolls would be awesome!!!! :) Thank you! :cool1::banana:

I'd recommend Flying Fish, then. It'll be a great place for the fish loving friend, and I've heard nothing but good things about the strip steak there. The current menu also has a beef short rib dish and a bucatini bolognese, all sans fish. Not that they'll be there when you two are there, but at least that gives you an idea on what to expect.

If you can grab a seat there, you can even sit at a bar that overlooks the kitchen. It's an interesting place to sit while taking in a meal. I think that sounds like a pretty ideal place for a couple of friends to dine in a finer eatery.

Hmm - is it too late to get an ADR for Ohana, fairly late in the evening? Apps/sides are served family style. The meats are brought to your table on endless skewers. YOU can have the steak, pork, and fowl (used to be chicken/think it's turkey now). SHE can concentrate on the fire-grilled shrimp. It's a fairly high-energy environment but people tend to linger; figure on at least an hour and a half there. The meal ends with bread pudding which sounds dreaful and tastes wonderful; it comes topped with ice crean and a pitcher of warm bananas foster sauce. Schedule the meal so you'll be there during the MK fireworks; you get at least a partial view from anywhere in the main dining room. Afterwards you can go to the Boardwalk, or just do a monorail-resort adult beverage/lounge tour. Or both. Enjoy!

Cape May Clambake has some seafood and tons of non seafood so you both could get your fill

Flying Fish is fantastic for fish and my non fish eater DH always get the NY Strip and is devours it, he said it is the best steak in all of WDW

Flying Fish gets my vote. Great seafood dishes but also an awesome New York strip and other non-seafood stuff. And you can head over to Jellyrolls afterwards for some more fun!

Haha! I was also going to say Cape May Cafe. I really liked it a few years ago and now that they added crab legs to the buffet, we made sure to add it to our June trip! Tons of seafood, lots of non-seafood.

Then Boardwalk right there for your nighttime entertainment.

I haven't done Cape May for breakfast - I imagine that will have lots more kids. (We tend to not do TS breakfasts.)

What do you mean by this? You don't have to prepay for California Grill.

To the OP, when they ask for your CC#, it is not because you are prepaying for your meal, but rather they are guaranteeing your table. If you do not cancel within the allotted time to cancel, then they will charge your CC a fee/fine.

I would go to California Grill because they have an awesome fillet that DH and I always get (it is out of this world) and for your seafood loving friend, there are some fish dishes and if she likes Sushi, they are suppose to have a really good sushi bar (don't know first hand because I don't like sushi). However, the Cape May Cafe Clambake suggestion sounds like a very good choice as well...we will be eating here Thursday night for the first time and we are all very excited about it. Hope you have a wonderful trip.

Did you consider Coral Reef inside Epcot? The seafood is awsome, and the atmosphere is amazing!
After you can hit the world showcase and try to drink around the world.

The sushi at CG was really good. That can easily be an entree (Yoshi's platter and Dragon roll are very large portions; I got the spicey kazan roll? and it was plenty with the flatbread apps we got).

We ate at Narcoosee's and it was good, but it was very pricey for what you got ~$60 for the whole lobster if I remember correctly?

Wish I had gone to FF but I had a bad headache that night. So maybe do that one for me :rotfl:
