I need help from anyone who has been at POR lately. I know all about buildings 14 & 15 but I am wondering about the other buildings, mainly how long was your walk to the food court or main pool. Was your room refurbished , non-smoking? Any info would be greatly appreciated. :disrocks:

Perhaps you needed the trundle..... My wife really prefers the Mansions buidings over the Bayou. I like them all, but the mansions work best for us. We have stayed 4 times in Oak Manor and Magnolia Terrace, always get non-smoking.....it is a short pleasant walk to the main pool, Boatwrights, and the front bus stop. Unless it is afternoon, we always board the bus at the front station.

On my last visit to POR (Spring Break 2004) I stayed in AB16 and loved it my room was upgraded to a Trundle room (no extra charge) I didn't need the extra bed but loved the extra space, this building has easy access to parking, main building (great for quick runs to refill mugs), pool, etc. Being so close after a long day at the parks was great.

My H2B and I stayed in AB2716 which was wonderful! Non-smoking and about a 5 min walk to the food court. Enjoy your stay! (we loved it there)

We just returned to the wonderful ? weather of Michigan from PO-R where we stayed in Bldg 18, again. I highly recommend this AB bldg - its close to the food court and bus stops ( South and West).

My wife and I were there in Sept 2004, and stayed in Bldg 18. We took our two teenagers ( 14 & 16 ) last week as their Christmas gift, and again requested Bldg 18. Not only did we get Bldg 18, but we got the very same room we had in Sept. Hows that for magic??

Disney has redone all the rooms in Bldg 18. New mattresses, new bed spreads, refrig. new decor in the bathrooms. Very nice.

Have a great trip and maybe we'll see you there - making plans to go to the Flower & Garden Show at EPCOT in May. :wizard:

When we stayed in room 2709, it was a 1 1/2 minute walk to the food court. (I unintentionally timed it while using my cell phone) Maybe 3-5 minutes to the pool depending on which bridge you used. I don't know if that building has been rehabbed yet, but there was a trundle in there. We didn't ask for it, nor were we charged.

Have a great trip!

FiggyFan, Was your room a non-smoking room? On the map building 18 looks like a good location. TIA!

Building 18 is considered a "Smoking Optional" building.~:)~
