HELP! Need help fast!! I forgot my Magical Express paperwork and tags!

I am 2 hours from home in a hotel. We fly out tomorrow at 7am to MCO. I totally forgot my Magical Express luggage tags and vouchers to get on the bus at home.

I know I now have to pick up my own luggage at baggage claim now, but will the ME still allow me to ride w/out vouchers?

From recollection, as long as you have a reservation, you do not need your vouchers. You can make a reservation the day before you go, with vouchers obviously not being there in time for your trip.

And you DON'T have to pick up your own luggage!!!!! Just bring your baggage claim check/s to the Magical Express Welcome Center with you. Let the Cast Member make a note of the numbers, and provide a description of your luggage (or they may show you pictures of luggage so you can point out yours). They'll dispatch someone to the baggage claim area to pull yours and send it off to the sorting center.

I wonder if they'd allow us to wait to make sure they found it! Our suitcases are both just plain black! I wish I had a way to mark them to make them most obvious.

Sure! What have you got with you that you can spare? Tie a colorful sock around the handle of each bag? Maybe see if the hotel has a roll of duct tape, and wrap it around the suitcases? Seriously. Serves two purposes: allows it to stand out among all the other black luggage, plus you'd know immediately on the minimal chance anybody fiddled with your checked luggage.

My go-to suitcase just happens to be like this anyway - it has a gray stripe across the front pocket, and a gray stripe around the perimeter of the bag. It is SO easy to pick out from among all the 'just plain black' bags! And it's held up amazingly well for $20 luggage taken (or sent - thanks, JetBlue ) on over a dozen flights in four years.

I don't know if Magic Marker ink sticks to duct tape but if you can mark all of your bags with the same 3 digit number in big print that could help in finding your bags.

Seeing that you forgot your DME paperwork, there is a miniscule chance you would have nothing to go by if per chance your reservation did not show up in the DME computers.

Also the DME folks at the airport apparently have used passengers' names (should be on each piece of baggage) to get the bags over to the resorts. After the hordes have left the carousel, there are just a few items remaining and checking name tags is then not so hard.

DME does everything they can to get bags over to the resorts.

Last week when I was in Orlando for busines waiting on my bags at baggage claim, I saw DME employees with lists checking every bag that had not been claimed off the carousel against a list and pulling certain bags aside.

So even without the yellow tags, you can get your bags delivered!!

We never received our tags/packet our last two times on magical express. Both times I called and made sure we were in the system. I guess they just don't like us

We usually come in late at night so no ME luggage transfers for us. But even without tags you can just hand them your baggage claim slips and they will get your bags to you. If you prefer, just pick them up yourself and take them with you on the bus. WE do it all the time and it isn't a big deal at all!
