Hi

Well I am going to my second karaoke in what 10 years. I will be singing :scared1:

Now I am tone DEAF. I tell you. I really cant emphasize how bad I am. I will be worse than Cameron Diaz in My Best Friends Wedding. :lmao:

I need your help in choosing a song that will be easy and really quick. I was thinking maybe

Live and Let Die
We will rock you
Holiday Madonna - Only because it would high pitch.

Any advice please

as another tone deaf person I can thoroughly recommend getting a friend in and doing the elaine page and barbara dickson song 'I know him so well'

I will survive by Gloria Gaynor - it does have high notes but I find that its impossible to hear the song and not sing along so you'll have lots of people singing with you!

I hope you have a great time!

How about an Abba song? Dancing Queen maybe?

Or Wet Wet Wet's "Love is all around"............. brilliant Karaoke song !!

Michelle, anything will be easy when you have a few drinkies in you, just go for it !

I once won a karaoke competition singing Big Spender. I think it helped though that all the judges were as drunk as we were:rotfl2:

As others have said just go for something that people can't can't help but join in with.

Make sure you are later on in the evening and I'm sure you'll sound like an Angel!

aawww hun, you should remember that its supposed to be fun and its never compulsory;) having said that:rotfl: Abba is always a good idea as everybody sings with you and over you, "Living On A Prayer" for the rock and high factors, "Parklife" as you can just say it and don't have to sing a note:lmao: "I Love rock n Roll" is a fun one, suprisingly DJ Sammy's version of "Heaven" is really easy to sing, no fiddly bits at all, although it sounds impressive to a crowd;) if i think of any more i'll come back, the main point to remember is that if you drink enough then you'll think you're Mariah anyway, or at least i do (cough cough):lmao:

Sorry I am of no help - I haven't a clue what's easy or not but like others have said if other people are singing along then you won't have too much trouble!

I won a best performance competition singing Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush) at our local pub at their Easter fun weekend. My DH was in the audiance that night before we had even met. It obviously did me no harm as we were married by October!!!

Good luck and have fun.

Some great songs. Heaven hmmm never thought of that. I am really looking forward to it, but really nervous at the same time. A few vodka and cokes, few shots later I am sure I will be fine. :lmao:

Perhaps a duet? ;) I am the backing singer that has three lines :lmao:

backing singer?:rotfl: You just wait, I'm sure I'm going to find a group song at some point, otherwise I'll never get Carly on that stage:rotfl:

Perhaps we all should sing a Spice Girls song like wannabe or something. You can sing the majority and Carly and I can have the vocals ;)

Bruce apparently wants it recorded so when he sees you again you can show him what I was like.

Now thats not a bad idea, apart from the recording bit! Lets remember that the last time i was recorded, the footage is sitting there waiting for my birthday party:scared1: Still if Bruce wants it that badly, I'm sure I can oblige:laughing:
