HELP!! Need advice on group planning

wow - sounds like u guys have some GREAT planning going!!

The one issue I can see with each family picking their own Fp+...are there ANY expectations amongst any of the family to do any of the rides together? e.g. do some of the little girls have visions of meeting A&E together with their cousins? Do some of the older ones see themselves on Space Mountain with all the older cousins?

Perhaps you can focus on a few key FP+ that portions of the group want to book together? e.g. Space for all the older kids, Princess for the little girls, BTMR for the little boys. Maybe to make it easier - 1 ride/attraction for each group of kids that they would like to ride together. Then everything else by family?

Alternatively, just split up all day and rejoin for meals (definitely the least complicated).

This is basically what we will be discussing over spring break. The main thing we will be going over is what are the must do rides on each person's list, per park. We will make groups FP decisions based off that.

good luck! The new pre-planning world of FP+ certainly makes larger group coordination a little more complicated. On the good side, less decisions once you get there :)

We are going in September and hoping for less a crowded WDW (as opposed to if we went in the summer or at spring break). We've decided to keep the ADRs to a minimum. CRT is on everyone's list. However, it's the only thing on everyone's list.

So, we're down to a count of 12. Discounts didn't help one family much, so dining plans have been adjusted and we are patiently counting down the dates for FP+. Our big group trip has dwindled down, it's a little disheartening, but understandable,

It's hard once people have to look at black and white numbers. Like you said though - rather understandable. On the plus side, a group of 12 will be MUCH easier to manage even though I'm sure you will miss the ones not able to come.
