well we were stuck on 2 names.... shelby and raven..... dd 15 liked raven and dd 9 liked shelby..... so we put both names in a hat and..................................................................... Shelby WON!!!! so our cute little black lab is named shelby.... thanks all for helping and giving us great ideas..... vicki

It took me over a week and a half to name my standard poodle puppy. We named her "Darci" which means "Dark one" in Irish.

Labradors are named after, as you may know, a province in Canada. Many Canadians speak French, so here are some French names:
Etoile - Star
Soleil - Sun

GOsh, she is cute! It's a good thing that little beautie did not end up in our house, my DGD has been naming all of he stuffed pups "Pickles"

I can't imagine your pretty puppy as an adult dog maintaining her dignity as she comes running to Pickles.

Shelby is soooo cute! I grew up with black labs since my dad was a K-9 Drug officer for schools. They are great dogs. The main dog we had for 13 years was Pepsi. She was the best!! Enjoy your new puppy!!
